No, like Montana in his 2nd or 3rd season.
Or like Elway in his prime. Can't decide which.

These are the results you get in the regular season when Alex plays the way he played last week.

It's not an excuse. This team just isn't to the 49ers level yet. You can see it right there on the screen. It should hardly be surprising. There aren't many teams that can still dominate a game at the line of scrimmage like the Niners can.

He's better than Cassel. Look how he played last week. How quickly people forget.

I don't think any fair-minded person could come away from this game thinking Smith played well. I think we can expect another 40 sack season for Smith. The receivers weren't helping him out much, though. Baldwin looked awful, and I think no one on this board should praise Kelce again until he can at least manage to catch a ****ing pass.

He's a great player. Even the best miss open receivers that they should hit.
Not sure what your point was......

On a side note. Avery better move past Baldiwn on the depth chart. He can at least get open. Caught 2 passes this half already, and should have had 3 if Daniel doesn't get sacked his first time. Avrey was blowing past the DB with no over the top help. Daniel was looking that way, but had no time. |

That may be true but there's no excuse for Smith not being able to score points against the 9ers second stringers.
