Trading a top 5 pick for a QB that can't beat out a career backup at best is not a wise decision.......
Trading for a former first round 'bust' at QB isn't smart either. If you want to be great it starts at the QB position, take the risk and get the best one in the draft if you have a top 5 pick. |

The present is all we can talk about realistically
the options I've seen mentioned so far seem weak the best QB available is what's best for the team on the whole |

Shit, if Sanchez has a great year, leg is healthy and he is sitting there, why not take him? Aside from the endless Dirty Sanchez jokes...

Hell no! I wouldn't trade our top 5 effin' pick for Brady Quinn. Why wouldn't I just bundle my 2nd round pick with another pick and move up to get the next Brady Quinn at #22 or wherever he was drafted or wait until the next Drew Brees is sitting there, early in the 2nd round.

Uhm, no, thank goodness. Herm's offensive philosophy isn't aggressive enough for Arena Ball. We'd be losing games 70-3 in the Arena League. FWIW, I've seen a couple of Yard Dawgz games in OKC and they are exciting to watch.

Is this the last time we see Brady Quinn in a Cleveland jersey? I would welcome him with open arms, thankful and sure faith that he could help us fill a position of desperate need.

Not just no, but **** NO.
Trading away a Maualuga or Laurinaitis or Oher for Quinn is tantamount to reaching for a Stafford.

Only if Thomas came with him at this point. Our line is going to kill anyone we put back there.

No.
He'll rot here in KC anyway. Might as well try to get good defensive players; it's obvious 'offense' under the current regime is only they to give the defense a rest (at least attempt to do so) and if points are scored - bonus. Bring in a warm body at QB; all he'll be doing is handing off the ball and throwing swing passes.
