NFL MVP
Interesting debates on these every year, here's one from ESPN.
http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/12...demarco-murray Peyton, Rodgers, Brady, Murray, Watt, Luck... Where would you guys lean? I don't know, part of me tends to lean towards Murray quite honestly. I think Peyton's crazy 2013 year hurts the image of what he's done in 2014, especially when compared against the other QBs that are getting all the MVP talk. Peyton's right there with them. Aside from all that, I think it's a pretty even race among the QBs in the discussion... I wouldn't give it Watt, I think my vote with be DeMarco. |

to me, the MVP means MOST. VALUABLE. PLAYER.
The MVP, every year, is either Brady, Manning or Rodgers. This year? Rodgers. Landslide. Hands down. The voters will agree. |

Not saying I think he's a bad choice, just wondering what makes it such a locked up deal for Rodgers? I think a lot of it is "we're tired of Brady and Manning"... let Rodgers have it.

Well, he has more TDs and less INTs than Brady so that should be a given.
I think he has something like 1 less TD than Peyton and a handful less INTs. |

why wouldn't it be? He has 35/5 with a 111 QB rating and his team is 10-4 and he plays Tampa ****ing Bay this week so he'll probably be 40/5 at 11-4 with 1 week to go.
JJ Watt caught 4 TD passes from 1 yard out. He has a lot of sacks. He's the DPOY. He might get a few renegade votes from idiot voters... but there is no way in holy hell JJ Watt is more valuable than Aaron Rodgers (or Tom Brady, or Peyton Manning) and the voters know that. MVP: Aaron Rodgers OPOY: Aaron Rodgers or DeMarco Murray DPOY: JJ Watt It's really that simple. It's not even up for debate. I'll give you 150:1 and bet you $22,500. |

I'm not saying he's the MVP, but Romo is having a better year than every QB but Rodgers this season. The guy never gets any respect for how good he is.

Luck should be like 8th in the MVP race. He, like always, has so many stats when playing from behind it sickens me. I'll give him credit that he always seems to dig them out, but he constantly puts himself a score or two behind inferior teams...and generally speaking, it's usually his fault.
Peyton Manning? Peyton has played ahead in almost every game they've won this year. He has literally gotten ZERO garbage stats. But he's been pretty average the last 4-6 weeks. It's Rodgers' to lose. And he gets TB (easy) and then a winner take all against Detroit for the division and MVP (Detroit gave him fits last time). |

Romo's attempts are much fewer than Rodgers (by 77), and Rodgers' attempts are much less than Manning (by 58) and Brady (by 73). Romo's having a better year because he's not being asked to throw as much - why? Demarco Murray.

God Luck is so good but this board makes it so hard for me to like him because he's already so grossly overrated. He'll get there, but he's far from there, yet. |

I'd agree. Romo absolutely deserves to be listed in front of Luck in something like this. I do think Luck is nowhere near his peak yet, though. He'll no doubt win one of these eventually.

Problem with Romo and a League MVP thing ... he wouldn't get the vote for Team MVP quite honestly, that would be Murray.

Not entirely but TD:INT ratio is weighted far more heavily than yards and completion percentage in my eyes. Particularly when you're looking at a guy with 30+ TDs and less than a handful of INTs. That's just insane. I don't give two shits about yards and I've stated as much on this board several times. |
