Too early to talk about the Steelers?

Listen, the odds of Miami not getting anally raped by Ben Rapeslisburger is low. There's no way in hell those guys beat Pitt on the road with a backup QB, especially after seeing them shit the bed at home today.

It's pretty much set guys. We're playing the Steelers at home.

Best believe Haley will do everything to try to embarrass us. He takes games against us personally.

We'll need to see a strong defensive performance up front in this one if we want to win. We'll need the Eric Berry from Mile High to show up and pop Bell if he makes it far.

**** it, I'd just play him In the box on all early downs.

To answer your OP question, I do think this thread is too early. Let's enjoy our stress free weekend next week. If we get the hardest matchup on paper, then we can worry about the Bs.

Record wise, the South is superior to the North.

It's pretty amazing that Gus Bradley went 2-12 and Doug Marrone went 1-1 at the very end of the season.

Proof positive that Bradley was an awful head coach.

And good thing we get 2 weeks to prepare since I think it's a safe bet to say pitts gonna win

I really enjoyed the stat that bellichek would have to go 0-16 for 42 years to equal Bradley's winning percentage.

Yeah...like KC is some 7-9 team that backed into the play-offs. If you knew your head from your ass...you would understand that the game was an anomaly in the Sutton era. A perfect shit-storm.

If the Steelers were so dominant..how did they lose 34-3 the week before to the 7-9 Eagles? How come they didn't get wiped like that again...how come KC didn't get wiped like that again?

I think (but not positive) that he was talking about Pitt beating Miami not KC.

It will be a tough game for KC and will require both Alex and Andy to not shit their pants, but as long as KC doesn't lose the turnover battle I don't see Pitt beating them. Rapistberger alone, with his offensive weapons, will keep it a nailbiter, but the Steelers' D is not what it used to be and Tyreek is unique (hey, alliteration). The Steelers' O will outplay KC's but KC will probably have a special teams return TD (or at least a very long run to put them in very short field position for a TD) along with a defensive turnover for a TD (or, again, a very long INT/fumble return to put them in position for a short TD). So the Steelers might win the yardage battle, 415 to 325, but they're going to lose the turnover battle and the special teams returns. Chiefs 27, Steelers 23 in a game that will come down to a "knock it down!" play in the end zone to seal the deal.

(And you can pretty much copy and paste this scenario for the AFCCG but, since the Patriots' bend-but-don't-break D is a little better than Pitt's, the final score there will be reversed... Patriots 27, Chiefs 23.)

Yes, it is too early to worry about this game.

I worry if Steelers commit to the run they beat us. Bell will be the best back we face and our run defense isn't very good. We get no penetration and hardly make a tackle behind the line of scrimmage. Our defensive linemen get stood up at the point t of attack and the running back (especially Bell) has time to make a sandwich while patiently waiting for a hole to open. I hope Sutton comes up with a good game plan.

It would be a miracle to avoid Pitt but it's not happening. Chiefs will be trying to climb Mount Everest to get to the SB. We always have a chance playing at home. The game is a 50/50 shot. Beating NE on the road is a long shot at best. It couldn't be any more difficult. Rough match ups is an understatement.
