Got Tazerd Tonight

So I decided to go out to the bars with my girlfriend and some friends. Everything is going well when all of a sudden one of my girlfriends friends come out of nowhere crying and saying she wants to go home.

Apparently a cab wasn’t good enough for this little diva by her standards or more importantly my girl’s standards so I wind up driving her home.

No problem right. WRONG.

After driving her across town (still completely sober) I get back downtown, park the truck and start walking to the bar where my friends are at. All of a sudden behind me I hear “yo tough guy!”.

Apparently this guy is the reason she was crying. I still don’t know if he’s an ex-boyfriend or what the hell his relationship is with her.

I assume he’s not talking to me and keep walking. Next thing I know I get shoved from behind and turn around just in time to get a bottle broken over my head. I’m down on one knee and the self preservation instinct kicks in so I get back up, tackle the guy and start wrestling around.

I’m on top getting the better of the guy and all of a sudden ZAP!!! A cop who obviously didn’t know what was going on besides what he saw after I got up hit me with a tazer.

If you’ve never had the pleasure of experiencing a stun gun I don’t know how else to describe it besides filling a bathtub full of water and dropping in a toaster. Your whole body stiffens up, the pain is quick but sharp as a knife and you’re completely helpless for about 10 seconds.

The bouncers across the street eventually stepped in and explained what happened but I now have four stitches in my head, been stun gunned by a cop, my truck is still downtown and I told my girlfriend to fuck off and leave me alone because I was pissed off and bleeding because that little bitch couldn't take a cab.

That's not even including the hospital and legal bullshit.

My cell is off, the door is locked and I’m getting piss drunk all by myself. What a flucking night. I'm marrying a big fat ugly homely beast tommorow so I never have to go through this again.

I’m too freaking old for this shit.

i would definitely seek out the advice of a competent personal injury attorney. Press charges against the cops, and the guy who broke the bottle over your head, as well as sue both parties in civil court.

See, that's what I don't get. They should have hosed em down with the pepper spray to begin with. The tazer should have been deployed if the spray didn't work. The cop probably didn't want to deal with the pepper smell.

Similar deal happened to me. Mine was "can you take my friend home-I will make it up to you promise." Ended up getting pulled over for dwi. Never heard from either of the ho's again. Never help out your chicks friend-it never works out. Make nice if it is early in the relationship-after that look out. If the friend is single they are probably jealous of your girlfriend and will try and break you up so look out. Ringo

First, he can sue the loser who hit him with a bottle. Then his attorney can look into the police. As far as I'm concerned, from the facts presented, it's BS he got tazered. He was defending himself from grievous injury.

The Aftermath:

Talked to the officer who zapped me and he confirmed what I already knew. He only saw what was going on after the bottle incident and wanted to break things up. I still think a good shove or a kick would have been better than a stun gun but he was alone needed to “neutralize the situation”.

I have no intentions of going after him because I kinda understand his point of view and I have to live here so I don’t want the local police having a reason to get back at me to protect one of their own.

There is probably video of the whole showdown. There are 3 cameras across the street to watch people going in and out of the bar and if at least one of them is at the right angle it should have caught what happened. I'll find that out Monday.

I was best man in the wedding with someone who is pretty tight with that place so I think that’s on my side.

Bottle boy is either in jail by now or being looked for to be put in jail. Still have no idea what his story is. I’m not the kind of guy to run to the police but in this situation I’m going that route. All I did was give her a ride, hell I never even seen her titties.

Still like to know how that **** knew where I was after I dropped her off.

For all the stupid shit I’ve done in my life something like this happens when all I’m trying to do is give some upset broad a ride home.

i dont know where your from, but most local agencies here that have employed taser in their tools have it lower on thier "use of force" ladder than actual hands on. Tasers give maxium stopping power with little to no injury and no officer hands on. Pepper spray can actually have adverse effects on people who are allergic to pepper, and part of its design is to partially constrict the airways to take attention away from the officer. Those can somtimes totally close.

he will probably at least get probation and around 30 to 60 days in jail for assault, at least if it were in this county.

in missouri, no i dont believe we even have that charge. Its just assault 1st, and Unlawful use of a weapon, more than lickley the prosecutor will just file on the assault. Easier to prove.
