Just a note guys when you're building your characters try not to invest much if any into special abilities. They are pretty much worthless until level 15 or so. I made the same mistake with my early builds so dont feel bad.

Hey guys. This team has built up very well so far and as it stands right now, just based on the scout rankings of teams, we are tied at #1.
One thing though, these discussions about the team should probably stay in the GLB forums. I say this as we look ahead to next season. Usually, the best teams in a lower league get moved up to a better league. At that point, to stay competitive, we will have to get some higher calibur players. Many of these players prefer to have an active forum... so the more we get into the forums, the more active it is and the more likely we are to sign bigger FA's when we have to next season. I love this game and will stay involved with this team as long as MTG will have me on board.

I wish I would have seen this thread a while back. I have 3 players. A level 12 OT, a level 10 DT, and a newly make level 1 QB that I will be starting out as a no-build for a season or two, depending on how long the money holds out.
The OT is signed through season 5, and the DT's contract is up day 14 this season. I'll keep an eye here and try to see if I can jump on board along the way if spots open up or if I can serve as an upgrade. Here are my stats so far: lvl 12 OT: Strength: 52.29 Blocking: 44.4 Speed: 19.55 Tackling: 15.5 Agility: 19.92 Throwing: 8 Jumping: 10 Catching: 9 Stamina: 24.79 Carrying: 8 Vision: 20.4 Kicking: 8 Confidence: 18.4 Punting: 8 1-1-1-1-2 lvl 10 DT: Strength: 55.02 Blocking: 11.8 Speed: 16.36 Tackling: 18.02 Agility: 53.02 Throwing: 8 Jumping: 8 Catching: 8 Stamina: 21.37 Carrying: 8 Vision: 14.03 Kicking: 8 Confidence: 13.06 Punting: 9 0-0-0-0-0 And here is my level 1 QB...I rolled forever to get these stats, was mainly looking for 8's in the throw aways and height...got it perfect. http://goallineblitz.com/game/player...ayer_id=779637 I won't be singing him to a team at all, as I want him to level extremely slow for now. If you are willing though, I would love to get into a team for a league minimum, just to get a little income for training longer. I wouldn't want to be on the depth chart at all though, so I get no snaps yet. I know...sounds crazy, but once I start going he will be very good for his level for the rest of his career. |

Thats cool, I'll see about getting a shorter contract for the DT, but even if it falls wrong the owner is pretty cool and would probably let me go.

I mentioned the possibility of my leaving for next season to the owner. I haven't heard back yet, but am pretty sure he will be cool with me leaving, we have been beat down every game this year but 1 preseason one, so he can't really blame people for leaving, especially ones that do so nicely.
I asked for a short contract for the DT, who is a free agent in 10 days, and will ask about release or trade for the OT after the season ends. Here is how things shake out now: OT: Level 14 Strength: 55.09 Blocking: 52.2 Speed: 20.27 Tackling: 16.5 Agility: 23.07 Throwing: 8 Jumping: 10 Catching: 9 Stamina: 25.79 Carrying: 8 Vision: 22.2 Kicking: 8 Confidence: 19.2 Punting: 8 0-0-0-0-0 1-1-1-1-2 DT: Level 12 Strength: 59.36 Blocking: 12.2 Speed: 20.36 Tackling: 20.6 Agility: 56.36 Throwing: 8 Jumping: 8 Catching: 8 Stamina: 20.12 Carrying: 8 Vision: 16.43 Kicking: 8 Confidence: 13.46 Punting: 9 0-0-0-0-0 0-0-0-0-0 I know it is still early, but I just wanted to give an update and see if you see any signs in the stars that you might not need me next season so I can make plans. Both of them have not booted this season, but will, so they will be a good 5-6 levels higher by end of season I would think, depends on how much the leveling slows from here. |
