No, it's not. The offense is not conservative by any stretch of the imagination, no matter how much people want to paint a failure to execute in that light. It's not martyball. In any sense of the word.
Right now the defense is carrying the team while the offense spins its wheels. And that's fine. That's great actually. Because if/when the offense starts to operate on all cylinders a bit more consistently over the course of a game, this team appears capable of blowing teams out. Simply put, we have not seen the best out of this Chiefs team, not yet. And it's not just the offense that can improve. Because I don't think we've even seen the best Chiefs defense, either, not yet. |
