Steve Young will be paid $1 million to play quarterback in 2014
This season, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick will make $840,000 in base salary. Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Steve Young, who took his last snap for the team in 1999, when Kaepernick was 11 years old, will take home $1 million.

There's a clip from the 30 for 30 about the USFL where he talks about his parents being taunted for his contract and they reply, "It's an annuity!!"

people love the bonilla story but If Bonilla had accepted the $5.9 million in 2000 and invested the entire amount at 8% interest, the original investment would have grown to $104.1 million by 2035*
