As for RGIII, the injury has forced the Redskins to rely on his skills as a pocket passer more than they did last year, and he hasn't yet fully developed into that kind of QB yet.
He came from a system, at Baylor, that is a simple one read system, desigened to get the ball out quick. It takes time to adapt to the complexities of both NFL offenses and defenses. The read option made the transition for RGIII (and Colin Kaepernick) easier.
