The much needed wake-the-****-up slap.

Nobody had @Denver as being a win anyway. It doesn't make the Chiefs any less good for losing @Denver than it does when Denver drops one in KC. Denver and KC are tough places for road reams to play.

With the loss, the Chiefs go to 9-1. However, now it is glaringly obvious just how bad the offense needs improvement, and work, in ALL areas. Playcalling, execution, and decisionmaking.

Andy Reid no longer has the "W" to brush off any criticisms about the offensive performance. This offense is quite honestly, a dumpster fire. When 80% of your passes don't go further than 10 yards past the line of scrimmage, that's a fundamental ****ing problem through either scheme, or lack of ability, or both. No offense that has its sights set on a championship runs such a conservative, low production passing attack.

There were shots downfield in this game, yeah. However, they were the first time all season such consistent shots were taken and clearly it is not something that this Chiefs offense is comfortable with, or particularly good at.

This defense is for real. They held an offense that averages 42 points per game to 27, and gave our offense PLENTY of chances to get the lead in this game, including multiple 3 and outs against Manning and also securing a turnover inside the Denver 20 yard line down by only 3 points.

The offense is the weak link. The conservative bullshit has got to go. Its nice to never turn the football over, but it is NOT nice to never score any points. Alex needs to turn it loose, and if he cant produce, move aside.

No risk, no reward. You need look no further than Alex Smith's passing stats, TD/INT in particular to see that.

Reid needs to take a long look in the mirror as a playcaller. He has not done a good job at all this season. Brad Childress has had great success in calling offense in his career in his time with Minnesota, and Doug Pederson is a former Quarterback. Perhaps it is time to give one of these guys a shot and see if the offense doesn't produce a little more, as they would be hard pressed to do worse with an offense that struggles to put up 17 points.

This was as good a time as any for this reality check to happen. How Andy Reid and Alex Smith respond to this will define what this team will ultimately be this season.

Sorry, I'm no going to continue to feel sorry for Hali (or Houston) if they're not going to say anything to the officials. Obviously you have to make a scene in this league to get a flag so if they won't then I guess there's little we can do about it. And the officials will tell the world that their instructions are to watch the QB so seeing what we're seeing isn't possible.

Manning and Brady and every of other QB approve of their non-whiner ways.

I expect it to continue on until somebody makes a scene.

Let's move on and hope our next awesome pair of pass-rushers have a bit more Hollywood in them and are willing to stand up in the face of oppression.

Somewhere along the way, Sutton's defensive scheming shifted. Through around the first 5 games or so, we were blitzing like ****ing crazy. Overloads, stunts, guys coming from all over the place.

Last night, the Kansas City Chiefs blitzed 6 times on passing situations.

Its time to get back to that "release the hounds" mentality and just let these guys do what they do, sack the quarterback.

I haven't read the thread, but to the OP; you think they don't know about Alex Smith behind closed doors? Do you honestly think it took losing in Denver for them to recognize that this guy WON'T throw the ball down the field. He doesn't even look. He misses wide open receiver 15 yards directly in front of the guys he's throwing the ball too. Repeatedly. This isn't an eye opener for them. They know. They either don't care, or can't fix it. Because it's been a huge issue his whole career, but it seems like it's going to a new realm this year. It doesn't help that when he does throw the ball down the field, he's had around half a dozen drops that should've been 30+ yard gains.

Anyone who says the defense lost this game, must have not watched the same game that I saw last night...

Case in point. Denver's offense averaged 40 points a game. KC defense averaged 14 points given up. You have to consider the middle ground would have been sufficient enough. KC held Denver 13 points less than their average. KC gave up 13 more than their average. That's what got us 27.

I was disappointed about the fact that there was no sacks, and very limited pressure, but on the other hand, if you think that Houston/Hali/Poe should get from point A to point B in 4 seconds or less, then obviously I'd say that someone has been playing way too much Madden these days. There's no way a NT/DE/OLB would be able to get from their stance, with a O-Linemen to block their path, to get to Manning, since Manning already have thrown the ball out of his hand by 4 seconds or less.

I can't pin all of this on the defense, since the Offense left, from the top of my head, 7-10 points on the field, with the Sherman fumble (0 points, could have been a FG) and the first and goal at the 3 yard line, only to settle for a FG (3 points, which could have been a TD).

Same old smaque, same old tired revisionist insults...But then again morphaditites like you seldom stray from what you know.

Stick your head in a bucket of plaster and inhale.

Also, the term you were looking for is hermaphrodite. Hopefully your neighbors won't hear that marble of information wobbling around your head.

It would almost be comical to see the look on your face if you ever tried being a REAL tough guy instead of a keyboard ninja.
Don't you ever get tired of portraying your self as a complete internet asshole?
SAME tired insults, same tired rants, same tired everything you've been using for 12 or more years now.

Here's a hint, get some new material, or kindly and block me or ignore what I have to say.

Live in your fantasy bub, because we both know you'd NEVER have the balls to speak to me like that in real life....At least I KNOW you never would, because about a split second after the first insult came out of your disgusting mouth you would be needing a FULL set of false teeth and some serious medical attention......but that will never happen, because your nothing more than a tough typing pussy who hides behind a keyboard, go ahead and live your wanna be tough guy internet insult throwing life to it's fullest.
And while your at it, use a little more lube on your butt buddy SNR. :

I almost feel sorry for people like you.

PS: and the term IS Morphatities, ... a fungus looking growth on an elephants ass.
"hermaphrodite", would be more to your sexual preference in life, who knows ...you probably married one.

It took you a month to come up with this? Sounds a lot like a threat. I'm sure that's not the case because after a decade I'm sure even a tongue chewer like you would know that is a clear violation of the agreement you've made to be here and finally be a ticket to get your clever wit banned from the planet. That would be a terribly unfortunate loss, like Denver Losing Manning type loss to this site. You've always contributed so much value here.

Its' also fortunate that I've found a more peaceful place in life. Were that not the case and were it not the Christmas season, I might be inclined to insult you and say something like I would loan you a wooden fence post(because we're friends) to pound your uterus full of tannerite and take a couple of good pulls from your meth pipe through your aching twat...but it's the season of peace so I won't.

I'm sure you're a terrifying sight in real life. Terrifying.

Yeah.....just a poster boy for reformed people you are...

And as for threats and insults.... I just took a page from YOUR book ...lord knows you've made enough around here.
But then again, that's all you can do, being the keyboard ninja you are. And when someone tosses it back you cry foul...Go ahead, BAN ME. Not like I'd really be losing out on much.
But before you run off crying to the mods...you should go RE-READ just exactly how it was written you mental marvel....It was hypothetical suggestion, as to what *could* happen should the real life event ever take place NOT an out right threat, and we both know it would never happen because we all know your nothing more than a pussy away from your keyboard and small group of like minded supporters here on the planet in real life.

No bloody wonder so many of the former "old timers" and respected posters have given up on this place. IDIOTS like you running amuck, doing little more than hurling insults, in drunken rages.

I've wasted enough time on a loser like you....Have a great Christmas, hope you get a new insult book to try some fresh material.

Oh I know, now your trying to play Mr.Innocent before you run to the mods with your tail between your legs like the pussy you are.

Carry on oh black belt of the keyboard. Be amusing to see just what kind of person you are in real life. Most likely a "nice guy"...such a shame you have to vent your frustrations being a total twat waffle on an internet message board, trying to be some bad ass.

PATHETIC is what you are....totally ****ing pathetic!!

I am a pretty nice guy in real life, because I'm not a pathetic, simpleton, dipshit like you. You can't understand that I am a happy person who is living the American dream, because
you're a Canadian disappointment.

Hypothetically, were you to find me in real life, I'd stab you in the face hole with a frozen jiz-cicle and leave it there to melt.
