IMO, calling out a co-worker who is stealing from your employer isn't really "snitching" anyway.

If you're both getting together and smoking pot, then one of you gets pulled over and spills his guts, you're a snitch.

But one shouldn't be expected to follow the "code" and sit idly by why somebody is robbing a company that employs both of you legitimately.
