Good lord, why? Last thing I want is for this movie to be bastardized by cgi. One of those movies where there was just the right amount of creepy and a good cast. And Tim curry is the only choice to play penny wise.

Tim Curry is the man. IT was one of my favorite childhood movies. I should have been watching Peter Pan lol. My parents didn't know for months.

reading IT - the point in time that it first began to dawn on me that he could start a riping good yarn, but couldn't finish a novel for shit.
He was LOST before LOST.

Dude, he directs True Detective. He can make whatever he likes and I'll throw sweaty money at it in hopes it's half as good as that.

Let's be frank. Prior to it coming out, nobody was sitting around droning on about the injustices it would be if Curry was not Pennywise. But, yes, he did a great job.

I loved reading Stephen King, but he always went one step too far for me. The choice of monster at the end of IT was a let down for me.

Not King's best novel. But there is a better movie than the excellent TV movie we already have. No reason not to be cautiously optimistic as long as Fukunaga is attached.

Yeah, its pretty aamazing how bad the guy was at endings since his books are usually suspenseful. Trying to think of a satisfying ending. Maybe the shawshank redemption , but don't know how much he influenced the final script.
