We need more speed and instincts on defense. This guy could be a similar pick to the Seahawks Malcolm Smith.

If he falls that far, he's a no-brainer.

He was a better player than Pat Angerer, who I believe the Colts took in the 2nd or 3rd round.

On his pro day, LB Nate Askew ran a 4.45 at 6'3 and 3/8" and 241 pounds. Only played one year of LB at A&M and was on that historically bad D, but it was a surprise that he found the field at all. Interesting UFA project

I don't know where to put this, and didn't want to start a new thread, but I've seen a few places that think the cash strapped Cowboys may be forced to cut Demarcus Ware if he won't restructure. It would save them $7.4m.

Probably in the FA thread? But he'll want a lot of money still, even if he didn't do sh*t last season and looked like his age was catching up to him. He'll probably want to get back in a 3-4 system where he got his most production as a pass rusher.

Due to a partially torn hamstring, Georgia Tech pass rusher Jeremiah Attaochu didn't work out at the NFL Combine last month, but was good-to-go on Friday for Georgia Tech's pro day. And, as expected, he was impressive. Attaochu ran his 40-yard dash times in the late 4.5, early 4.6 range with a 37.5-inch vertical jump, 4.64 short shuttle and 7.28 three cone drill. His 1.55 10-yard split would have ranked him tops among all linebackers at the Combine.

Attaochu, who was born in Nigeria before moving to the D.C. area, set the Georgia Tech all-time record for career sacks (31.5) and continues to be one of the more underrated prospects in this class. He's extremely active, using his athleticism, motor and heady instincts to win off the edge, collapse inside or find the quarterback whichever way possible. Attaochu is still refined in some areas, something he also showed during his pro day performance, but there is definitely some untapped potential there as a 21-yeard old who didn't start playing football until high school. In the late first or early second round, Attaochu is going to make a team that implements a 3-4 defense very happy.

Was originally recruited to play safety at Utah, but has flourished all over the defense playing safety, outside linebacker, defensive end and middle linebacker during his collegiate career.

Potential third round prospect, but will most likely be gone by the second round.

To put those times in perspective, the only linebacker of similar size tested at the Combine who ran faster than the 6-foot-4, 244-pound Reilly was superstar Khalil Mack (6-foot-3, 251), who clocked in just one-hundredth of a second faster.

Demonstrating that he's recovering from the injury could push Reilly into the second round. His length and athleticism will intrigue scouts operating for 4-3 and 3-4 defenses, alike. He is at his best in the two-point stance, demonstrating the burst to pressure the edge and the long-arms to keep blockers from controlling him. He locates the football quickly and is a passionate defender, showing good overall athleticism and straight-line speed for a man of his size.

He led Utah in tackles (100), tackles for loss (16.0), sacks (8.5) and fumble recoveries (3). Reilly ranked in the top five in the league (PAC 12) in all of those categories.

His arms are 32.25'' so I wouldnt consider that "long".

That being said he has a nice blend of size and speed. Gives him a speed score of 103.9, but an explosive power score of 0.83.

Based on the amount of contact the chiefs have had with this guy, I think they might be targeting Telvin Smith.

A fast-flowing, instinctive, run-and-hit weakside linebacker capable of producing at a high level if he can bulk up and withstand the rigors of the NFL.

He would be a linebacker that has pass coverage ability. Not only a future replacement for DJ, but someone who could play beside him. Dude is very fiery....just what this defense needs.

Okay I'm just pumping my guy up, but honestly I like a lot of guys here....especially the kid from Georgia Tech.

Van Noy, Attaochu, Reilly, Skov would all fit in nicely and be able to play multiple positions.

Skov is more locked into the ILB position than the others, but he is very effective when rushing the passer.
