***Official 2014 Training Camp/Preseason Mega-thread***
Post all of the Training Camp/Pre-season updates, relevant tweets, and general thoughts in this mega-thread.
If something happens to be particularly newsworthy, feel free to start a thread and discuss it there. Don't be a dickbag and "Q" up their thread, unless some idiot posts something like 5 days late. Tweets from https://twitter.com/ChiefsCamp/lists/kcc WHEN POSTING TWEETS - When posting Tweets, instead of just copying the text, you can actually embed the tweet by clicking "...More" (right next to the timestamp of the tweet)-> "Embed Tweet" -> Copy the embed code, then paste that into your CP post. It will make the thread look a lot cleaner and we won't have to keep clicking away from the website to see the content. Thanks in advance. Training Camp dates and times

no way we beat Seattle or San Fran and I have a hard time thinking we'll beat Arizona or a talent loaded Rams team and we play a 2nd place AFC schedule I think we'll be better than last year and still would be surprised with 8 wins |

this will be the first year in my adult life that I'm not going to let the Chiefs ruin my Sundays, though
Of course I'll watch... I'm just done having psychotic temper tantrums over this shitty franchise. I think. |

I think the Daniel hate is silly, especially looking back at 2011/2012 QB situation. Is he overpaid? That is another argument. Dorsey/Reid have brought in five QBs in 18 months... I think they will never stand put, so Daniel is on the clock anyway.

Monty and I got split up on the way back to the hotel, and when I got back, I think the only words spoken were "let's get the **** out of here" - and we still had a night of hotel we had prepaid for. I don't think I was ever pissed, it was more like being dumbfounded. I'm not sure another word was spoken until we got to Terre Haute and stopped for dinner and I lit into this dipshit Steelers fan who kept saying he "knows how it feels." What a dickhole. |

I only fought with Chiefs fans after the game, though. And my co-worker (Colts fan) was so afraid of being happy at my expense that I think I ruined his entire experience going to the game. After I fought with a group of Chiefs fans who were giving me the whole "it was still a good year!" bullshit... I did proceed to give them my authentic $250 Berry jersey and then when I got back to my car at the Indy Buffalo Wild Wings I gave my Chiefs Reebok hoodie to another miserable Chiefs fan. I also swore I'd never watch another game until the Chiefs made the Super Bowl. and then I also threw away every other single piece of Chiefs attire I owned once I made it back home. Do I regret these things now? Yes. |

Meanwhile.....
Nick Jacobs @Jacobs71 4m Bray with an incredible throw. Great velocity. It gets out quick. Spot on the Gordon on the cross.

First reaction to this schedule is 7-9.
Chiefs will beat: Titans, Dolphins, Rams, Jets, Raiders, Raiders, Chargers (at home). Now, I think a couple of things could turn 7-9 into 10-6: First, second half Alex Smith is the real Alex Smith. In this case, he'll elevate the play of at least one scrub receiver. Maybe Hemmingway. Second, KC's pass rush is formidable. The secondary still looks like **** to me, so something has to alleviate the pressure. If these things happen, I could imagine wins at Buffalo and Arizona. And the Chiefs could steal one more, likely at home against a team we seem like huge dogs to (because weird shit happens in the NFL). |
