Esky blew it
He caught it on the run at the wall. He wasn't camped out under it. The ball looked like it was going to drop until near the end.

edit: and yes, Esky did blow it, but not for the reason your saying. It wasn't a clear out, but it was close enough that Esky needed to hold up with no outs.
