I still think we should've ****ing pitched Wade Davis.

This is my only Ned ****ing Yost gripe.

There was absolutely no reason to trot Shields back out there. All year long, Davis has been our 8th inning guy if the game was tied or if we had a 3 run lead or less.

What did we have to gain by putting Shields back out there. He pitched 93 ****ing pitches. We've all seen him be susceptible to the big inning.

Sure, he only gave up 1 run. But good lord. We have the best 8th inning guy in the last ****ing decade. USE HIM. ****.

I would not send Shields back out, but if we do, then we definitely have to pull him if anyone gets on base.

If we do get a one game playoff, we'd be better off pitching someone who is going to be on our team next year. If nothing else it gives them playoff experience that would be valuable.
