Whats your take on these guys? Would these guys be 5-0 on the Chiefs.....or do they make too many mistakes and turnovers in critical situations? Sure, they put up great "box scores" , but so did Jeff George......

The amount of things that Cutler can do that alex can't, are smaller than the things that alex can do that cutler can't.

I never saw it but I'm not surprised that a story like that would get around the Chicago area.

I like Rivers, but what keeps him from being a top-tier elite QB is his bad habit of heroballing when things start going south. He starts forcing bad throws into double and triple coverage and getting picked off instead of calmly running the offense and trusting his teammates. Of course, our inept offensive coordinator does him no favors by always calling telegraphed runs up the middle on first and second down and then expecting Rivers to bail the team out on third and long.

the way I was told

my buddy who graduated from ISU had a frat buddy who was a huge Vanderbilt fan

he was at a bar one night and Cutler was at the same bar and came up to the stall next to him to take a piss and he was like, "hey Jay! Just wanted to let you know that I have always been a huge fan blah blah blah I am a diehard Vanderbilt fan ...." and then Jay cuts him off with the "don't careeeeeeeeeeee!"

it was funny to me because I often play the 'don't care' piano (or so I call it) with my friends when they are telling really pointless stories

but yeah, I've heard that happened in a slightly different variation...so I bet it happened, and then the guys who first heard of it took off with it and probably put themselves in the story to make it sound cooler

I've always respected Rivers. He plays hurt and his teams over the years have mostly performed. He hasn't won a SB but those are rare (ask Marino). Most organizations would luv to have Rivers as their QB

They need an O-line bad. Rivers turns to mush when he's pressured.

No running game at all (and this was before the injuries) and now they can't pass protect.
