Talking Draft Prospects

We've got perhaps the biggest, most consequential draft coming up for this franchise since 2008. The Chiefs have all seven of their picks, and will certainly be picking up an additional four in compensatory picks, one of which is assuredly a 3rd rounder.

As a result, it's important to familiarize ourselves with as much of this draft class as possible. I started a thread last offseason that discussed late rounders that was generally well liked and spurred tons of great conversation on all sorts of draft picks we normally wouldn't talk about, so I'm going to duplicate that idea this year, only discussing all talents, rather than just the mid- and lower-round ones.

The OP will be continually updated to show the talent I'm reviewing by position. Keep in mind as I list these players that I am generally listing their round projections, but it is not a strict big board, as I likely won't have a big board put together until May.

Spoiler!

There will be plenty of guys available from the 3-7th that can be rotational players. It would be a wasted first round pick, IMO, and the Chiefs have far greater needs.
Hopefully they don't draft for needs there tho

He's a big part no doubt, but the DL is also part of it IMO.

Don't sit here and tell me that if Everett Goldman or Danny Shelton don't entice you. Jaye Howard is great depth but he's not a starter.

It's extremely unlikely that either guy will be there in the mid-to-late 20's

I like QB Shane Carden out of ECU around round 4 or 5. Need to continue put some pressure on Smith. Carden needs to learn the pro style system, but he reads from the spread well and has a good arm. Isn't scared to put the ball in some tight spots to his receivers.

Problem fixed. Well, most of them. After that go back to back OL in the 3rd and 4th.

I think our biggest needs are OL, ILB, CB. I dont follow college football enough to have an opinion on specific players, but these are the positions I would focus on.

Yeah we are good at wideout with Hemmingway and AJ Jenkins. I wouldn't waste any picks there.

We absolutely need another quality 3-4 DE. Losing DeVito put us way behind. While it's nice that Jaye Howard stepped up, we basically only have Vickerson and Walker to help, but we need Walker to spell Poe bc he's playing too much as it is.

3-4 DE will be a big need this offseason.
