NFL MVP
Interesting debates on these every year, here's one from ESPN.
http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/12...demarco-murray Peyton, Rodgers, Brady, Murray, Watt, Luck... Where would you guys lean? I don't know, part of me tends to lean towards Murray quite honestly. I think Peyton's crazy 2013 year hurts the image of what he's done in 2014, especially when compared against the other QBs that are getting all the MVP talk. Peyton's right there with them. Aside from all that, I think it's a pretty even race among the QBs in the discussion... I wouldn't give it Watt, I think my vote with be DeMarco. |

No I'm not. I'm no Manning basher, as evidenced by 8 years on this board.
He has played the worst 6 game stretch of his career. He's missed passes I've never seen him miss and he has absolutely no deep ball whatsoever. I have watched every game. I am not uninformed here. |

Those numbers are certainly not meaningless. They show how much each team relies on their QB. They are definitely more meaningful than TD:INT ratio.

Murray suddenly has a good year, and now he's more important than any of the QBs? He has been average until Dallas finally upgraded their line, but he has "single handedly" brought the Cowboys back. Please don't operate any heavy machinery. |

Indy would be a ****ing abyss if they didn't have Luck.
Green Bay wouldn't be far behind. If Dallas lost Murray, the point spread might shift 1/2 point combined over the next 2 games. |

In that case, every stat is meaningless. Hooray!

So you don't want to consider TDs when deciding on the MVP. Sounds good, what else is off the table?

Brady has lost as many SBs as Manning has even been to, despite Manning playing for three MORE years. And when Brady loses SBs, he isn't throwing pick-sixes, or getting crushed 43-8.

Even if it is, which I don't view it as being, it would still be on the offensive line, not Brady. Only in Hootie's world does Brady get penalized for winning MORE...

It's the Colts special teams fault that Manning lost to the Saints in the Super Bowl. |
