I see some overly clever mod has decided to change my username and profile picture. I understand this is CP tradition of a kind, but not one I have ever participated in. I have never changed my username, and never will.

Nor will I participate on the board when someone changes mine. The mods are of course well within their rights to change my name, and profile pic and I am well within mine to "vote with my feet".

There was a thread on this before. Some kind of glitch had caused some usernames (including mine) to be changed. I posted something just like this, and of course had to pay the inevitable price when it turned out that it had nothing to do with the mods.

If this is in fact goodbye, then best of luck to the Chiefs whenever they play the Donx or Raiders. It's been a fun decade of discussion and arguments. And, of course, GO PATRIOTS!!

(Yes, yes, "wow, what a whiny crybaby." Bottom line, I don't mess with mods, couldn't even name most of them, and don't expect them to mess with me -- just as they haven't for a dozen years....until now).

I'm kinda surprised by this reaction from Amnorix. I could see this sort of instant knee-jerk reaction from a younger person, but not from him.

I think a grown, mature adult who doesn't like this sort of thing would have taken a step back, realized this happens sometimes on CP, maybe the mods don't know you hate this, and that this isn't some unforgivable mean-spirited offense.

The mature response would have been to quietly figure out who the mods are and send them a message saying you really don't like this, please change your name back, and don't do it again. If they refuse, fine then get mad, post your good-bye forever thread, and freak out if you want, but at least first pause and give them the chance to know that you don't like to be messed with in this way like some of the other posters.

I guess he's never been mod-abused before. That's kinda hard to believe as long as he's been here but whatever. This was for like, only a few hours with a name change. I was the one that changed the lounge after this thread just to rub it in a little.
