Back in 2001, while we were preparing for our wedding in NoCal, we spent the night in San Fran, then headed out to north to our destination. The afternoon traffic was so incredibly bad, we stopped in Dublin around 4pm to eat and catch a movie.

That movie was "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" and in all honesty, I'd have rather sat on the 580 for two hours than watch that mess.

Have you seen the cast/producers etc for the new Warcraft film? What are your early impressions.

From what i've gathered, this high-budget, Legendary Pictures CGI production should be really good.

I've never played the game before, so I'm not sure how the casting relates to their corresponding players, but I'm a huge fan of Duncan Jones. Ramin will provide his usual solid but not spectacular score but I'm kind of "meh" on writer Charles Leavitt. I've never been a fan of his work and thought that K-Pax was awful.

Hopefully, Jones' direction and vision will more than make up for any of my pee-concieved notions about the script.

Oops, that was supposed to be preconceived.

Interesting. From what i've read, Leavitt wrote it, but when Duncan was hired he came in and essentially re-wrote it. And while i've played the game, i have no idea about the cast. I've heard good things about their ability though.

Im a high-fantasy nerd. I love Lord of the Rings fantasy CGI stuff, so the fact that they're finally making one for my favorite game has my nerd boner raging with excitement.

Hopefully it's not shit, but early impressions from a small Comic-con trailer has people buzzing about some outstanding CGI.

Oh, that's great news then! He's a very talented filmmaker.

Legendary has produced some very good movies in the past decade so I'm sure it's in good hands.

Yeah, I remember that, oddly enough. I think we chatted about it at one point and I recall how yours ended. Sorry, Dude.

It's all good. Took a couple of years but I've been over it for a long time now. Getting the rest of my life in order has been a bit more of a challenge.
