He IS a Cardinals fan though, so that might not be a bad idea. Or the framed poster. Framing probably will be higher than I want to go budget wise.

Yeah, Clay has good suggestions. Something that straddles the line between practical (something he'd enjoy owning regardless of your giving it to him) and sentimental (showing that you're invested in his interests). TBH, he should appreciate any gift as long as it's apparent that you put some thought into it.
