I plan to make a joke about McGlockton jumping offsides or Hicks not reading the bootleg. |

We need a Spaniard representative in this competition. For that reason, I'm voting for Dan Saleaumua.

Lots of personalities here. My picks:
#1 - Dan Saleaumua, of course. Is he not #1 on anybody's list? Good player, fun to watch, and seemed to be likeable. #2 - Chester McGlockton. Maybe a bit of a curve ball here, but he was a Raiders pro bowler and then asked to join the Chiefs in the middle of a game. How much better does it get than that? And yeah, he jumped offsides a lot, but overall he was pretty solid. #3 - Jimmy Wilkerson. Another curve ball. I liked Jimmy as a player and always wanted him to get more time. It seemed like he was very productive, but he could never get on the field for us. Honorable mentions: Leonard Griffin. An underrated player for us for several years. Not a world beater, but I liked him. Curley Culp. I should pick Curley and he's a Hall of Famer, but he's just a little before my peak fanship time. I remember him as a Chief, but just barely. Tank Tyler. Yeah, he was a bust. I feel responsible for that because I kept telling the Chiefs to draft him. I like to think that they took my advice and it was a bummer that he didn't work out. I thought he was pretty funny on Hard Knocks. Ron Edwards. Solid dude, and underrated. As a minor story about Aaron Brown, my father took me to a car dealership when I was seven or eight to meet then-quarterback Mike Livingston. It was a surprise, and I was so shocked and intimidated that I wouldn't say a word. So my dad was talking to Mike and I remember them having a conversation about the Aaron Brown trade. That's my main memory of Aaron Brown.

Hicks seemed like a really nice guy off the field, but I can't release the image from my head of him getting caught by bootlegs time after time after time. The people voting for him must have more charitable memories of that.

I remember when I was 13 or 14, reading about Aaron Brown knocking Daryle Lamonica and then Joe Kapp out of the games in the SB run, and he seemed frightening. It's not real love unless you're a little afraid of 'em.
So, Aaron Brown. And Culp and Saleaumua. |
