Irrelevant? Not at all, professional football is the most important sport in America. College Football is most definitely relevant.

But deciding to have your final four to determine your champion at a time when 90% of the country will be at work is doing all you can to move in the wrong direction.

June 2010 was escalated. On June 11, Nebraska announced it was joining the Big Ten. Colorado had already announced its departure for the Pac-10. Texas had scheduled a meeting to discuss turning the Pac-11 into the Pac-16. If you believed a prominent rumor-monger, the deal was done.

I know that I've speculated that this could be the worst Kansas team to date, but this article reminds me just how deep they would have to dig to reach that depth. I mean the numbers they put up seem impossible...as if they were from a different era. It's like trying to compare Clayton Kershaw to Cy Young and realizing that no modern day player could ever get to 500 wins simply because the nature of the sport has changed...except we're only talking 3 and a half years ago for Kansas football.

I don't know if they can be statistically worse, but I'm supremely confident that their record will be at least as bad as the 2011 losers.
