Justin Houston Contract Rumor...

Yeah, yeah.. Bleacher report.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2...ey-from-chiefs

Says Justin Houston wants a JJ Watt type contract from the Chiefs. Watt signed a six year 100 million deal with Houston.

http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/houston-texans/j.j.-watt/

Those numbers actually seem fairly reasonable, assuming Houston keeps at his trade. Probably ends up being a little bit less guaranteed, but I could certainly live with that salary cap hit year-by-year.

Justin Houston may have the best chance of this group to actually put pen to paper this week on a long-term deal. The dialogue between him and the Chiefs has been long-ongoing, they have made significant progress and the Chiefs know that franchising him two years in a row is going to cost them well over $30 million over two years already. As the elite among the elite at rushing the passer, and just entering his prime, Houston likely falls in somewhere around J.J. Watt in terms of compensation, and I wouldn’t expect it to cost less than $15 million a year to secure his services. Kansas City paid big for Alex Smith when push came to shove and there is no doubt Houston is the best player on their team and a true difference maker.

The old me may have taken that bait.

You're not original. You're a punted kitten from the front porch of the interwebs.

The tick on the tit of a sow.

You're the unwanted clutch out of a Squatch ass - while foul, mostly wasted time by all who tuned in to see something happen...

Sounds good...except those numbers don't add up.

Tag year 1 is 13.1m
Year 2 is 120% of year 1 so that makes year 2 cost 15.7...for a total of 28.8, not "over 30m"

Give him a carbon copy of JJ Watts deal and let's continue to build a monster defense.

that's how much you value 22 sacks? He'd laugh in your face with that price.

He would be the highest paid LB by a lot. He can
laugh all he wants. He doesn't even go against the LT most of the time. I will tag him and bet he gets less than 15 sacks. Then pay him 6 years $75 million in March. That might be the best offer he gets. This is 't madden. There are consequences for paying a guy too much.

I've seen the movie once and never read the book. I have no clue what you're talking about.
