I had no idea the intramural games were finishing up this morning, but if I had known I'd have rooted for Germany.

Nobody gave a **** about that bullshit special Olympics of beakerball

The opposing team members went back to sheep herding this morning after a fun game of American ball through the ring net

Never a good idea to bet against America, freedom, and Kansas.

Is it cool for your fanbase? Sure.

But as I said, maybe 50% of KU fans even know this happened today. For the rest of the nation and sports fans in general, nobody has a freaking clue.
Well, you do, and it is apparently eating you up. Remember when your school got to represent the U.S. on the World Stage and... oh, that's right, it probably hasn't nor will that ever happen for you. Now I see why you have a need to denigrate it as much as possible.

Clearly, Bill Self recognizes what an important moment in history this is:

I don't understand your point? Its not as big as winning the National Title. Its fantastic, but I don't believe there is a KU fan out there that wouldn't trade it for the National Championship, if one were allowed to make such deals.

Your own head coach said winning a single NCAA tournament game is bigger than winning this tournament.

You're confusing "eating me up" with simply calling out the twin d-bags acting as though something great in US sports history happened today.

As stated, had tweedle dee and tweedle dum not jacked each other off about the tournament in this KU vs MU thread, I wouldn't have even know these games happened. Like 99% of other American sports fans. Carry on.

You know what I did hear about on SC, in contrast to the intramural games? Embiid missing another season and the team that spent a #3 overall on him has already drafted his replacement. ESPN seems to think that's a bigger story as well.

Ah. And, of course, you couldn't just let "Dee" and "Dum" be? Then you request I "carry on"? Maybe I missed it and didn't scroll enough back. Did you say something to the effect of, "Congratulations to the USA/KU team on representing the country well, its too bad a few of the fans have to take the opportunity to act as if this gives them cause to act like the won the National Championship." Or did you just fall right into KU bashing? I guess it is the thread for it...

Never mind, I'll "carry on".

So on Germany's roster, they seem to have two Ivy League players, and no other division 1 players. Is that correct? Who is on this squad that took KU to 2 overtimes?

A story related to big finances in sports versus a story about amateur status sports. All bow before the golden sacred calf!

The U.S.A hadn't brought home gold in a decade.

I suppose when you need a title there's only one program to call.

I believe they had four players who had Div 1 experience and a few more that play on professional clubs. That Harvard Ivy League player was all of 7'. Don't know why he want to go overseas to a rinky dink academic college when he could have gone to a real basketball school. Euro trash!
