I'll Take Todd Haley for a hundred, Alex

Ok, I realize that most of you are not going to like this observation, but I'm going to make it anyway: We'd have been better off keeping Todd Haley as our coach than hiring Andy Reid. Yeah, I said it.

This whole franchise lacks.......balls. And not the over/under-inflated kind either. Haley was obviously learning on the job as to how to be a head coach, so he clearly made some mistakes. However, he knew that given the talent that Scooter had provided, the ONLY way for him to be competitive was to roll the dice and take some chances. Clearly, some of said chances were real boners, but the guy had cojones.

Plus, Haley had zero support from his boss who handcuffed him Mr Cassel, and didn't he have Tyler Palko as his backup QB? Those guys weren't pro-caliber QBs, heck they weren't much more than answers to trivia questions.

Haley also wasn't going to put up with pussy-footed players.....period. See DJ and Bowe about that.

Instead we now have Andy Reid who selected Alex "The Accountant" Smith as his "dynamic" QB. BTW, did you hear Smith after the game? Calmly assessed it as "only one game" and "there's a lot of football left" bullshit. And of course Reid took responsibility for the game, but Lord have mercy, what in the world does THAT mean? Is he gonna put himself in timeout?

I wanna see someone with some PASSION. Not some cool, calculating football "genius" who constantly outthinks himself. I wanted to hear "Totally and Completely Unacceptable", not this mealy-mouthed "My Responsibility" crap.

Anyway, like him or not, I claim we'd be MUCH further down the road to the Super Bowl with Todd Friggin' Haley as coach than we are with the ultra-conservative, don't push the ball down the field, Andy Reid. I can sure as hell guarantee you that Haley's choice for a QB wouldn't be some wanna-be accountant type. He'd have some gunslinger out there who shows some friggin' PASSION.

Frankly, I'm tired of all of the conservative mindlessness within this friggin' organization. Next thing you know, we're gonna change our colors to an electric beige.

Gimme a friggin' break....

You ****ing a right he would.

He would undress Fisher publicly by trotting him out for kick returns.

Not even extra points, those are too important.

Haley still led a Pioli drafted shitshow into Soldier Field and won with Tyler Palko at qb.

That's balls.

He also had Palko a bullshit call away from upsetting the Steelers at Arrowhead

Gimme a break, Brock. Pioli NEVER gave Todd Haley the keys to anything. Pioli was a complete jerk who wanted total control of everything. Haley never had a chance.

What, the Jets game?? Pfft. In hindsight, he held the whole thing together and the wheels were bound to come off.

Mike Tomlin stepping on the field and acting like he's gonna tackle a player or whatever was way worse than anything Haley did, and Tomlin still has a job.

Haley wanted Matt Hasselbeck in 2011.

Pro Bowl, playoffs, whatever - Haley wanted to be DONE with Cassel after 2010, he wanted a real qb competition.

What he got was Tyler Palko.

I think Tyler Thigpen won a game too in 2008.

We could probably just call them both Palko Thigpen and no one would notice.

Was pioli calling the plays? Was it pioli who called for a fake punt from his own 20 and trotted brodie croyle out there thinking nobody would notice? Was it pioli who pulled damn near all the starting offense off the field in new york to prove some kind of stupid point to his boss? Get your head out of your ass and understand that when you're one of 32 guys to be an nfl head coach, you put your big boy pants on and do your job, no matter what.

Nonetheless, I think Haley's better suited to be HC than OC. PLUS, he has a PASSION for winning. And. It. Shows. Unlike Reid who's passion apparently tends toward the culinary perspective

More home blowouts than all the Chiefs coaches COMBINED in history before him. Turd of a coach he was.
