Chiefs I'll Take Todd Haley for a hundred, Alex - Page 3

Ok, I realize that most of you are not going to like this observation, but I'm going to make it anyway: We'd have been better off keeping Todd Haley as our coach than hiring Andy Reid. Yeah, I said it.

This whole franchise lacks.......balls. And not the over/under-inflated kind either. Haley was obviously learning on the job as to how to be a head coach, so he clearly made some mistakes. However, he knew that given the talent that Scooter had provided, the ONLY way for him to be competitive was to roll the dice and take some chances. Clearly, some of said chances were real boners, but the guy had cojones.

Plus, Haley had zero support from his boss who handcuffed him Mr Cassel, and didn't he have Tyler Palko as his backup QB? Those guys weren't pro-caliber QBs, heck they weren't much more than answers to trivia questions.

Haley also wasn't going to put up with pussy-footed players.....period. See DJ and Bowe about that.

Instead we now have Andy Reid who selected Alex "The Accountant" Smith as his "dynamic" QB. BTW, did you hear Smith after the game? Calmly assessed it as "only one game" and "there's a lot of football left" bullshit. And of course Reid took responsibility for the game, but Lord have mercy, what in the world does THAT mean? Is he gonna put himself in timeout?

I wanna see someone with some PASSION. Not some cool, calculating football "genius" who constantly outthinks himself. I wanted to hear "Totally and Completely Unacceptable", not this mealy-mouthed "My Responsibility" crap.

Anyway, like him or not, I claim we'd be MUCH further down the road to the Super Bowl with Todd Friggin' Haley as coach than we are with the ultra-conservative, don't push the ball down the field, Andy Reid. I can sure as hell guarantee you that Haley's choice for a QB wouldn't be some wanna-be accountant type. He'd have some gunslinger out there who shows some friggin' PASSION.

Frankly, I'm tired of all of the conservative mindlessness within this friggin' organization. Next thing you know, we're gonna change our colors to an electric beige.

Gimme a friggin' break....

Romeo only won 2 games a year with Pioli's team, and Haley won the division in 2010 and probably would've again in 2011...

Well the truth is there is 16 games and you're bound to lose a few of them, even if you are a great team. How did the pats feel last year getting the score run up on them? You think the Seahawks were undefeated the last 2 seasons? If we are going to lose, it better be because of fixable mistakes and by small margins. That happened to be the case last night, didn't lose sleep for that reason. Andy Reid puts us in a far better position than his predecessor.

Being that his predecessor is Romeo Crennel, I would say you're right - he may be the worst head coach ever in the history of the league.

Hard to get worse than him.

However, I would've preferred firing Pioli and bringing in Dorsey in 2012.

Would've had a Super Bowl or two by now, even

Yes, and they beat a single playoff team all year, it was a mirage...

Still a miracle that he pulled it together enough to do THAT.

The next year, he still had the Chiefs in contention for the division WHEN HE WAS FIRED.

Romeo Crennel took the same team and had a 2-14 dumpster fire AIDS abortion that culminated with a player committing suicide at the team facility and SOC flying banners around the stadium while everybody wore black and bags on their heads, in case you don't remember.

Amazing how the team started off with 9 wins in 2013. It washed all the bad away, huh??

Very logical, Tiger. However, right now, I'm not into logical. I'm into kicking the ever loving shit outa someone/something. Reid presents a nice target (especially after last night) so he'll do. Alex the Meek is right behind him. Charles has proven to be a warrior, so I'm cutting him a break. Flemming tried his best, but it just wasn't good enough; coaching let him down. So, right now Reid's first on my shitlist followed closely by Alex Spock.

No surprise that the Chiefs were a good offense when Charlie was in town in 2010 and then sucked all other Haley seasons.

The Chiefs 2010 was a fluke at that. All easy terrible teams.

Weis somehow managed to get Cassel to play competent football for about 10 games
