Aren't there tie breakers? I know if the Cubs end the season tied with the Pirates the game will be in Chicago because of the head-to-head record.

If the Pirates and Cardinals manage to tie, one of them will be in the WC game. It will come down to head to head or some shit. No matter what, the Cubs will have to burn Arrieta for the WC game.

Baseball is not like football. If tied, they will play a one game playoff for division winner vs wild card.

If Arrieta pitches against the Pirates in wild card, then he will probably need at least 4-5 days of rest, so you guys may only face him once.

No, its as I said. There are no virtual tie breakers for the division. We tie, we have to play a game.

Yes, the loser will host the WC and the winner gets HFA and the division title.

Then explain how in 2001 when the Cardinals and Astros had the same record that the Cardinals got the WC and the Astros the division with no game 163 being required.

Baseball a tie is settled on the field. Say the Cards/Pirates tie for the division.

They would have a tiebreaker game to decide the division. Both teams would be in the playoffs regardless.

You would play the Division Tiebreaker Game.
Winner gets the NL Central title, loser goes to the wildcard game.

Losing team in the division tiebreaker game would be burning its top two pitchers right off the bat.

That was my point. The two teams with the best record in baseball have to play and extra game while the WC get to rest and save their best for the loser of the game.

Thats just BS. Under no circumstances should the 2nd WC have an advantage.
