Fisher officially in at RT for Monday

http://www.kansascity.com/sports/nfl...e36702456.html

Eric Fisher to start at right tackle for Chiefs on Monday vs. Packers
BY TEREZ A. PAYLOR
tpaylor@kcstar.com

Eric Fisher will return to the starting lineup Monday night at Green Bay, Chiefs coach Andy Reid announced Saturday.

Fisher, 24, has missed the Chiefs’ last five games as he recovers from a high ankle sprain. He will start at right tackle for Jah Reid, who has started the Chiefs’ first two regular-season games.

Fisher was expected to be ready to start at right tackle in the Chiefs’ season opener, but sources told The Star he opted out of the lineup because of concern over his high ankle sprain. Chiefs coach Andy Reid, however, maintained afterward he made the decision to sit Fisher because of the ankle injury.

Despite the injury, Fisher has logged three offensive snaps as a reserve at left tackle and 10 special-teams snaps as a blocker on the field-goal unit in the Chiefs’ first two games.

He has not played right tackle since his rookie year in 2013, but Reid said Fisher has “done well” in practice this week.

“I mean, he had played over there for the year, his first year,” Reid said. “He’s a pretty good athlete. Easy adjustment.”

Fisher is listed as probable on the injury report, along with fellow offensive lineman Jeff Allen, who has also missed the Chiefs’ last five games, including preseason, because of a MCL sprain in his knee.

“He had a better week this week, so he’s pretty close to 100 percent,” Reid said of Allen.

Allen, a full-time starter at left guard in 2013 who missed almost all of 2014 because of injury, opened training camp as the starter at right guard but was inserted as the starting right tackle in the Chiefs’ preseason opener against Arizona, where he injured his knee.

The goal from the beginning was minimal investment and good enough play.

Mission success. Our OL is good enough. It's midtier. I'm happy with that and everybody else who's not a flaming reerun should be as well
Problem is, our OL, especially the right side with or without Fisher, is NOT "good enough." Told you that a million times. You believe it now?

Alex Smith is another problem all together, but he is getting worse behind this shit OL. Deal is, KC is committed to Smith so they need to build a top tier OL b/c he cant win with anything else.

And there's the one play overreaction.

Fisher played an average game today. The 2 guards got completely handed their lunch today.

After the 1st quarter or so Fisher was decent ... better than the rest anyway.

That double pull, slam down block play was beyond stupid. If the defender is coming then the RT is dead, no chance.

Fisher is like 99 on a list of 100 problems. He's a worthless, feminine beta piece of shit sure. He needs to go after this season, yes. But he was mostly barely adequate today.

Fisher was alright tonight. Stephenson was awful. The interior was a circus because we have zero people on our roster who can play guard. But Fisher was probably our best lineman tonight not named Morse
