All hope isn't lost against Cincinnati

Sean Smith is coming back and Andy Dalton has the propensity to shit the bed at the most inopportune times.

They, unlike the Chiefs, have a good OL and a young QB who looks like he is taking the next step at becoming a good QB. These two teams are headed in completely different directions. After Sunday maybe you'll see how different 4-0 looks from 1-3 and know there's a reason for it.
The difference is you are overreacting to the beginning of the season. I don't give a shit about 1-2 vs 3-0.
The Bengals will level off as a 10 or 11 win team. The chiefs will level off as an 8 or 9 win team. Cincy appears to be a better team. Like KC, they are unbelievably inconsistent. They dominated the first 3 games last year then looked like shit the next 3. The chiefs looked like shit the first 2 games last year, then went on a 7-1 run, then looked like shit to close the year.

It's way too small a sample to know if cincy has turned the corner or if they are again a jekyll and Hyde team. So far, KC matched up fine talent wise against Houston and Denver, and then got destroyed by a really good team. That is ridiculous to say that's enough to say they're descending. If they can match up to Denver, they can match up to cincy.

I think this will be a battle between an 11-5 team and a 9-7 team.

We had no chance to beat Houston. We beat them.
Wr had no shot against Denver. Talent wise, we matched up fine.
Last year, after losing our first two really badly against Tennessee and Denver, most of this board was predicting 2 to 4 wins. That's not even an exaggeration.

And yet I get shit for thinking the chiefs are a mediocre 7 to 9 win team.

Sanu had 800 yards last year as a #2.

You would be sucking off any guy who did that in KC.

PS - he has a QB who can get him the ball

It's strange. I just have this weird feeling the Bengals will destroy us in all phases of the game. They seem to be good at everything. We seem to be bad at most things. I remember a time when I thought Dalton and Smith were equals. Those days are long gone.

Marvin Jones has 12 touchdowns in his last 60 NFL catches. They literally design red zone plays just for him. I thought James Jones was an old bum with literally one leg who runs as slow as a turtle and he made our secondary look like NFL Europe caliber so.

They have an amazing receiver.
Apart from that, they are mostly solid but unspectacular on all fronts. Good qb. Solid defense but not the dominant defense they were under Zimmer. Good running game that opens up when green opens up space.

And they have a coaching staff that is frustratingly inconsistent. Again, they dominated at 3-0 then looked pretty bad the next 3 games. I'll need more than a few game sample to prove they've turned the corner.

Until I see otherwise, Dalton has always been a toss it to green and let him get it guy. The Browns have given them fits because pettine runs the same scheme as Suttons that focuses on man press coverage. So we'll see.

So, one more loss and you will stop defending this shit team? This has to be getting old for you. Can't be much fun.

Again...if the Chiefs had a guy with this kind of statistic to his credit this whole board would be sucking him off....such a double standard.
