Weirdest thing I've seen in a while.

Off kickoff, ball at twenty, so first right on 30 yd line.

Going for first down. The broadcast shows the 'magic' first down yellow starting first about 1/2 its width behind the 30 at the bottom of the screen, then 3/4 its width beyond the 30 at the top.

Then the ref places the ball down at the sideline, a full length of the football behind the 30 yard line on the field. Tosses it to the ref at the hash, who places it half the width over the 30 yard line on the field. 1st down. No flag, no review.

Almost like the field, the players, and the 1st down indicator were each on their own layer of a misaligned 3 layer overlay.
