The cut block is and should still be legal. A defender can still defend their legs in such a case and it is a pivotal block for certain play types.

I don't love the touchback rule, but it probably benefits a team like us who has a strong defense to begin with, while also helping the offense a little bit.

I think this is absolutely a strong possibility. If I'm a kicker, I'm thinking that if I put it at the 2 or 3, my guys are making a tackle short of the 20 or 25 most of the time
