I bet, in all these numbers, there are a lot of "quieter" posters who use ignore to taylor their experience more than the "vocal" posters.

Yeah, I'm not going to go into detail with everyone who wants to know, but using you as an example, I don't even recognize 3 of your 8, and at least two more are banned.
