Fletcher Cox just got the most guaranteed money ever for a non-QB. This will make it even harder for Elway now.
Von definitely gonna ask for the more.

Miller going to get 70+ million guaranteed. Going to hurt the Broncos cap a little bit (unless of course the NFL lets them circumvent the cap)

On contract negotiations “I don’t like to think about it,” Miller says of the contract. “That’s like negative energy. I’m going to be here.” “It just hurts,” Miller says. “I’m not even going to lie. It’s a business but at the end of the day, I got feelings, too. I know some fans don’t know that some of the reports aren’t even true. When I get on Instagram, no matter what I post, there’s going to be 400 comments. Guys bashing me. Take the deal. You greedy bastard. I thought you wanted to be a Bronco for life? And it kind of weighs on you after a while.” Miller’s father, Von Sr., weighed in as well, and he didn’t rule out sitting out or holding out as an option, even as he described that possibility as an extreme scenario. “You’ve got this spectrum [of options] from left to right,” Von Sr. says. “And the left is all of the worse [scenarios], and then you tend to go over to the right where everything is good. So we want to stay on the right but that’s a potential to go far left. Far left is sitting out. That has to be one of the last and final options that you have. He’s not looking forward to that. He loves being with his team. He loves his teammates. And his teammates know.” So sitting out is a possibility, even if it’s a remote one? “It’s got to be there,” Von Sr. says. “It’s got to be a part of the play. It’s got to be part of the process. Do we want to go down that road? I would say not. We definitely don’t. I don’t want him to go down that road.” |

Another thing that's negative energy is spending your day with people who go out and kill five people at a restaurant and then set it on fire.

I so enjoy keeping this story alive. This is from 2013, and they ended up convicting the guy without calling his buddy Von to the witness stand. I bet the Broncos spent a ton of money making sure that he didn't actually get called. It's got to be one of the biggest coverups in NFL history.
Another article, by the way, said that he was on the witness list so he could describe the clothing that Dexter Lewis was wearing on the day of the murders. Chew on that fact for a while. http://kdvr.com/2013/08/19/espn-denv...ast-six-games/ Amid suspension reports, Broncos LB Von Miller listed as potential witness in murder case POSTED 9:29 AM, AUGUST 19, 2013, BY MATT FARLEY, UPDATED AT 09:57PM, AUGUST 19, 2013 DENVER — The strange circumstances surrounding Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller kept piling up Monday afternoon as it emerged that he may be called as a witness in a horrific murder case. Miller could be asked to testify in the death penalty case against Dexter Lewis, who allegedly stabbed five people to death and set fire to Fero’s Bar in October of 2012, the Broncos organization confirmed Monday evening. “We’ve been aware that (Miller’s) name appears on a potential witness list, but he has zero direct involvement in this case,” the team told FOX31 Denver. Miller’s name is listed among more than 100 potential witnesses in the case. He appears to be a possible acquaintance of Lewis, but there is no indication he had any other involvement, The Denver Post reported.
