You know, the Detroit Lions were a goddamn dynasty in the 1950s. Three NFL championships in that decade. Most teams can't claim that kind of success. I'll bet fans of teams with current success like the Seahawks would gladly trade team histories if they could be like the Detroit Lions! Right?

If you noticed, I'm talking in the SB era. Carry on though with whatever makes you feel good about your bottom tier franchise. While it would be quicker for me to list the teams with more playoff rings and wins than Oakland, it would be quicker for you to list the ones with less rings and playoff wins. That is just a fact sir.

Raiders haven't been relevant in almost 15 years and haven't won a SB in over 30 years.

The Fisher deal is simple supply and demand. Outside of QB and Pass Rusher left tackles have the most value. Chiefs likely won't be picking in a spot next year for a premiere LT. Letting a good one go would be foolish.

It's not just that.

Right now Alex Smith is like 20th in NFL QB contracts with a very low % of guaranteed money at 27%. He's only 5 spots above Chase Daniel.

Its not just that the raiders haven't been great - its that they have been the worst franchise in all of professional sports. Not for just a year, not for just a few years, but for 10 whole years! A DECADE of being a laughing stock.

Dont worry about us. We will be a very, very good team this year. Worry about the raiders being good for a few years, then your opinion can be valid. All the best dude!
