Absolutely. The obscure events are great. Check out the USA women's field hockey team. After winning two games total in the last two Olympics, they have scored major upsets in their first two pool play games. Also, we have some kick ass rowing teams. Unfortunately, we're out in ping pong and individual fencing. Not looking real rosy in Eventing either but we have a guy with an outside metal shot. Tried to get into sailing but I had no clue what the **** was going on.

I'm sure the guy with all the gear shows up last after everyone else has boarded, opens up all the bins looking for space that's not there and moves people's bags in a futile attempt to cram the shit in before finally a flight attendant makes him trudge back up the aisle bonking his shit into people along the way before they make him check the shit plane side like he should have done in the first place.

This by a fair margin. If cans aren't your thing it is probably Aly Raisman who I think is legal. Some of the Eastern Eruopean gymansts (if they're legal) are a little longer and not so squatty and they bring the heat. Didn't catch any of their names.

There is some respectable eye candy this year all over. Kerri Jennings is still incredible. There was some American chick in the pool that would get all this D. Soccer and Rugby have some smokeshows sprinkled in. Really a good year for it.

1984 was the pinnacle for me. I was in high school and while the games were on all day, they were also on until 2am. I saw Evander, Sweet Pea, Meldrick and so many others.

1988 was a game changer with Louganis and Roy, as was 1994.

Since then, it's been "blah" for me.
