Chiefs release KeiVarae Russell

Rand Gettlin-I'm told the #Chiefs have released defensive back KeiVarae Russell. Special teams numbers game. Super talented player. Likely to be claimed.

Ok, gotta take a man at his word, so if those are indeed your honest opinions, apologies for me thinking otherwise.

I guess my thoughts on those guys are: Ehinger probably needs a year in an NFL weight room, but he appears to be a technically sound player with a LOT of upside. So far, Hillhas looked great in camp, but less so in preseason games. Nonetheless, if Reid feels he's a better player than DAT, well, that speaks highly for Hill as DAT'S shown he can play in this league.

It's time to honor your bet Clay.

Russell must be considered uncoachable by the Chiefs or they wouldn't have released him so soon.

Put in the right place so the receiver can run with it in stride.

And exactly what would be wrong with having a player on mcclusters level if we are asking that person to be our fifth option as a weapon and has high potential on special teams?

I think that the opinions on them have been stated over and over. Ehinger shows a lot of athleticism, but needs to bulk up. A few of us, myself included, have questioned him starting this year before bulking up, but most of us like what we see in his abilities, including the coaching staff. And Hill had a great camp. Obviously, he has room to improve. But with Maclin, Conley and Wilson ahead of him as well as Our tight ends and Ware catching all the passes that he has, we have the luxury of taking our time with him. One 9 yard touchdown in his first game is a good start for him. I bet that if it was anyone else that made that touchdown that you would've loved it.

I really liked the Russell pick, so I'm a little shocked. However, wasn't he recovering from an injury? Is it possible that he's having trouble coming all the way back from it?

One thing about Hill is that after he catches the ball, it takes him no time to get up to full speed. Guy can rocket!

Just want to make it clear.. We have extra draft picks for 2017 and trade pieces to make a trade. And now we have cap space. This could get really interesting

Does he have another bet out there? Because if you're talking about his bet with me, the bet was that he wouldn't have a 20 yard catch through the air all season. Hill hasn't accomplished that yet.

Lol wut? He's standing still when he jumps to the left to catch the ball, takes one step, jukes a defender and takes off.
