Madden '17
Anyone getting a little excited? Seems like they have really made an effort this year.

Franchise mode is getting an overhaul according to recent news:

1. Full player editing while your franchise is progressing.



2. Coaching/FO decisions.



3. In-game ticker with live updates.



4. Practice squads.



5. New commentary team that will actually talk about things happening in your franchise.

6. Draft has been tweaked with more busts/gems.

Gameplay improvements:

1. Zone Coverage overhaul.



2. New ball-carrier special moves.

3. Real gap control on defense.

4. Real ball physics. In the past the ball would tether to a player based on ratings.

They also overhauled kicking to make it a challenge now. There's a new three-click system and weather/location will play a factor. Also, apparently on clutch kicks if the opponent "freezes" the kicker by calling a timeout the kicking meter will disappear and you have to make the kick by muscle memory. Kicks and punts can also be blocked.

How badly all of this shit is ****ed up on release remains to be seen but it does seem like they are making a big effort.

Just bought the game and decided to give it a try on all-pro since I hadn't played Madden in a couple years. Chiefs vs Jets, exhibition.

Game started off terribly for me, which I expected. I was down 23-6 at halftime. Long story short, I ended up winning 44-42 thanks to Alex leading the Cheufs downfield in the last minute of the game. Maclin had 4 TD's, two of which had about 70-80 yards RAC each. I ****ing suck on defense .

You're all going to lol at this stat:
Alex "big dick" Smith- 27/43 615 yards 6 TD's 2 INTs (2 pick 6's)

Maclin 7 catches 268 yards, yeah this game was all sorts of effed up.

I let Ryan Fitzpatrick go 38/49 385 yards 1 TD
Was fortunate to make 2 goal line stands and force field goals, other than that I got fisted on D.

I'll mess around with the game more tomorrow. Would just straight up go up to all-madden, but I may get 100 scored on me at that point. I'll play with some sliders.

And Clay called me a puss and told me to increase difficulty because I was 7-0. Dude, they patched the opposing QB accuracy. I'm on AM level with everything set at 50 (per factory settings) except for opposing pass blocking, (set at 40) and my QB accuracy is set at 55. I'm sitting at 12-2, opposing QB's have all had realistic numbers.
I play a shit ton of zone blitz packages and that keeps them fairly honest. I really think they patched what you're talking about. I noticed some pretty shitty stats early on after release but it seems to be better now. Maybe you just suck at defense?

Yeah my No. 1 defense sucks.

I'm playing right now and Aaron Rodgers is 14 for 21 so I don't think there's an issue with the slider.

Shit, this guy has the slider at EIGHT.


My human QB ACC slider is severely low so I think it's balanced.
