When Alex plays well, there is no reason to hate. He played well last night and I hope he keeps it up.

But that's the problem with Alex. He does just well enough to show you what he COULD be... then he goes back into his shell and plays like a pussy.

Please please please keep getting better Alex Smith (and Andy Reid).
I think if we all watched another NFL team with a good quarterback for 16 games we would all be saying the same things we say about Smith.. Except we all just watch the MNF and SNF and the chiefs, highlights etc.

Look at the giants, 10-5 in the playoffs this year, but Eli will finish 4k+ yards, 25+ td's has 2 rings, leading his team into the playoffs at the helm, and all the fans at least on there MB and some in the media, despise Eli and say how bad he is...

Unless your name is Brady, I think alot of fans talk about how sh*tty there QB is week to week. thats just how it is IMO.

Dude the Chargers got clowned by the Browns, the ****ing BROWNS! Think about that for a second.

The only way the Chargers have a shot is if we pull some our starters, which may very well happen. I have no idea what Reid is thinking about Sundays game.

Not to rain on the Alex Smith supporters' parade, but if the Chiefs had a better QB, they'd be able to replicate last night's performance on offense on a more consistent basis.

A QB that has the patience to go through his progressions rather than quickly throwing it to his first read, a QB with better downfield accuracy, etc. would be able to easily double or triple Alex Smith's production given the playmakers the Chiefs have on offense.

The Chiefs had 260 yards passing and nearly 500 yards of total offense last night against the #2 ranked defense with Alex Smith rarely looking to throw to his top two WR's (Maclin and Conley).

Well, that's how you've gotta beat that bronco team. Going in, against their two best corners, your wrs aren't getting much play. It was the same way new england attacked them last week.

because that's not our offense...with the 2.5 second release(like Brady last year against us)..we are successful. I know you saw the stat.

style points? meh whatever.

Not even then. I recall Pagano being butt****ed by Chase Daniel a couple years ago.

Most of Alex's yards were screens and slants.

I don't feel like the play calling was much different than what we normally do.

That wasn't very nice. Did you see what Harris did after his TD catch? He mimicked making a putt and I think he did the Tiger uppercut. That's what it looked like anyways.

1) West coast offense
2) Scoreboard
3)PFF: " Chiefs’ strategy of avoiding Broncos CBs works to perfection"
Denver star CBs Chris Harris Jr. and Aqib Talib were only targeted on underneath throws, as evidenced by the fact their six receptions yielded went for just 24 yards. Kansas City instead went after S Darian Stewart and LB Todd Davis, who gave up a combined 11 receptions on 13 targets for 149 yards and two scores. Stewart made matters worse by missing four tackles — of the 12 he has missed this season, eight have come against the Broncos.

Alex didn't make any tough throws. They were all screens/5-8 yard slants for the most part.

Keep using plays like that and have him run so you can hide his downfield accuracy issues.
