Yeah because Phillip Rivers is the reason they have a losing record.

JFC the level of stupidity from the Alex Smith Apologist crowd continues to sink to new levels in this thread.

Im not an Alex Smith apologist, I just think some people are factually full of shit and need called on it.

Please do tell why SD is such a bad team then? Here is your canned response -

Injuries
Coaching

Well shit the bed dude, thank God the Chiefs haven't had any injuries this season.

Coaching? Thank God Reid doesn't make any mind numbing coaching decisions.

You know what more baffling than Smith apologist?

Chiefs fans who make excuse after excuse after excuse for a team like SD and bitch incessantly at the success of their own players and team.

That is ****ing bizarre.

And on the subject of stupidity, observing our interaction the last few days its fairly evident you cant even ****ing read.

BTW Rivers is one of the league leaders in turnovers and INT's yet again, but Im am sure he bears no responsibility in that.

Your shit is getting stale, it really is.

And our below mediocre QB beat his HOF QB week 1 and is getting ready to do it again week 17.
I was having fun being a little sarcastic towards SD, meaning that this game is their Superbowl for the year.

You can spin that anyway you want. Don't give a popsicle...

I'm sure there is room on their bandwagon, just like every other QB you pimp on this board.

You're like the parent bitching and starting fights at PeeWee games.

The Chargers have 23 players on IR right now, tied for the league lead with the Jets and Saints. Our injured players take up more cap space and get paid more than the Jets' or Saints'. In contrast, the Chiefs have 12 players on IR.

According to ManGamesLost's stats (which are unfortunately only updated through Week 15 at the moment), the Chargers easily lead the league in total team games missed due to injury with 300. The Chiefs are 28th in the league with 100. Only the Bengals, Donks, Titans and Eagles have been healthier than the Chiefs this year.

As for coaching: Reid makes some mind-numbing decisions. McCoy makes nothing but bad decisions. He makes Reid look like a clock-management genius. He burns through timeouts like they're unlimited, even in situations where it helps our opponents. He and Whiz have a borderline sexual fetish for the shotgun draw and run it a million times a game even though it never works. And halftime adjustments aren't even a thing in these morons' world.

I don't even like Reid as a coach, but I'd trade coaches in a heartbeat. McCoy is Rich Kotite-level bad, and I'm not exaggerating here. He's a legendarily awful coach.

He bears some responsibility, but that number would be a lot lower if not for the moronic coaching staff who can't hold leads or manage timeouts, the offensive line who can't even pretend to block for him, and our UDFA receivers' stone hands. Some of the interceptions are bad luck (such as catchable balls bouncing off the receivers' hands), and many are the result of Rivers feeling the need to force throws as the clock ticks down while his coaches and team crumble around him. Often, that leads to poor decisions and even worse throws, but I'd still rather have a real QB who plays to win than a Checkdown Charlie who merely tries to avoid losing.

We have finished ahead of SD all 4 seasons Smith has been our QB, we have lost EB, JC, Houston, Hali, and many many other players for extensive periods of time.

So are you saying for 4 consecutive seasons SD has injury as an excuse for not being able to finish ahead of KC?

Our less than mediocre QB owns your asses.

It's pretty moronic at this point to call Alex a terrible QB at this point. He's proven he can play the position. He's not elite, but he's on the upper tier of Qbs who can win games with his style of play. People hate his style of play more than anything. With him at qb you will always have a team the will have a competitive year.
