NFL 10+ Sack Guys in 2016

Look at this list of players with 10+ sacks this year. Who the heck are these people? The NFL has really seen a changing of the sack guard over the past few years.
  • Vic Beasley - 2nd year guy
  • Von Miller - Career criminal
  • Lorenzo Alexander - 10 year veteran who started his career as a tight end
  • Markus Golden - 2nd year guy
  • Danielle Hunter - 2nd year guy
  • Cliff Avril - 9th year guy. I've heard of him, but was never frightened of him. Has 73 career sacks now.
  • Cameron Wake - Okay, we know this guy. He's legit.
  • Chandler Jones - That was a stupid trade, I think.
  • Ryan Kerrigan - Shockingly steady for a guy I never think about.
  • Khalil Mack - Announcers think he got 40 sacks this year.
  • Nick Perry - This guy's been a bust for years.
  • Erik Walden - Whoa whoa whoa. What? We cut this guy as a special teams linebacker a decade ago!
  • Joey Bosa - Okay, this one is a concern.
  • Brian Orakpo - Chiefsplanet assured me that he would be a bust.
  • Frank Clark - 2nd year guy
  • Dee Ford - 3rd year guy, looks to be a breakout star.

Erik Walden simply stuns me. Where did that come from?

Your sheer unadulterated hatred coupled with creative expression therein of Von Douche is exemplary. Carry on.

I would have liked to see the teams they play for after their names.

Would love to see a healthy duo of Dee Ford and Justin Houston in a full game.

I think twice.

He's being gameplanned against more now and it's really stunted his production. And he's not quite as natural on the weak side as I'd hoped he would be.

I think we'll have to wait until next year to get a real feel for the full Houston/Ford experience.

Bummer.

Joey Bosa has been a stud so far. My goodness all four teams have a legit pass rusher to fear. 3 teams have had two good ones this year.

Dee Ford played like shit against San Diego with his super wide arc to get at the QB. He didn't engage the O-Lineman until 5-6 steps. Bad form again.

He looks tired.

When you're lacking explosion, you start to take shortcuts and do things that make it look like you're still trying hard but allow you to avoid paying for it.

Wide arcs against lineman so you can appear to still be hustling but don't take the initial punch a direct line would fit that mold pretty nicely. I don't think he's doing it intentionally, necessarily, but it happens.

This is the most football he's played....ever. He's never really gone out there and just balled out play after play after play for a 16 game season. Yeah, he had a couple games off in the middle but those weren't recuperative days off, they were rehab days off.

Hopefully the bye and the adrenaline of the playoffs can give him the energy boost he needs to be effective again.
