As a ref, how can you possibly make that call??

Besides all the bullshit, How, as a ref, can you make that call in a playoff game. Team is trailing by 2, going for a 2pnt conversion, and you call a holding call, something both teams have been doing all game.. if youve been calling them all game, sure call it, but you werent, and havent been. How could you not see the hold did not affect the outcome of the play? By the time the "hold" even occured which was more of harrison just deciding to flail to the ground like a little bitch, the ball was WELL out of smiths hands and going to the endzone at the point of this "hold"... So again, as a ref, how can you not look at the hold, then look at Smith and see the hold wouldve not affected the outcome of the play? Its BULL SHIT to make that call in a situation like that... And btw, this is the same crew working the superbowl.

It's really ****ed up honestly to realize how much pro sports plays with peoples emotions.

Also I got more enjoyment out of a New Japan Pro wrestling match than I did any NFL game this year...funny I know.

If anyone is really into just watching great wrestling go to youtube and type in Omega vs Okada, don't even need a dog in that fight to appreciate how awesome those guys are.

Has there been research done and papers written as to why people are so crazy about their teams?

I never have understood the fanatic mindset, and this includes myself.

I personally think it's just an escape from reality and the NFL does do a good job of cultivating that us against the world mentality that fans have. Every single fan thinks the league hates them..even teams like New England that get calls.

Even smart people get tied up in it.

I know I am not watching something that is 100% legit, and have known for years (ever since the tuck rule game). yet I continue to watch.

WTF is the deal? I own a successful business, have a great family, and the rest of my life is great. Why in the hell do I waste my time?

It's like a chemical addiction. My brain has been wired to watch.

I think a lot of it is getting stuck in the "I've always done this what do I do if I stop?" mindset.

I am at 99 and moving towards 100 quickly.
The NFL and the Hunts know that when it comes to KC area fans there won't be a revolt. The Hunt family keeps ~$90M clams rolling in, and the NFL gets to keep their successful show running. And even if there is a small revolt, it'll be just that (in their ratings), small.

When you look at how the NFL protects the officials (they shall never be questioned and never have to be interviewed like the freshly-raped players), claims there's some sort of vetting/review process (but we can't be part of it) , and never makes them to speak to/about their actions and/or missed calls; it's the perfect scenario for the instrument of the bias to never suffer because of the bias. Hiding behind the time-honored "you can't see them all", it's a tough job, and other "judgement call" type excuses, it really does put the NFL closer to the WWE. But hey, the teens in the Boston area are both happy and confused about why we're mad, so the NFL's world is running smoothly. Drama, ratings, and profits!!! And if ****ING Green Bay didn't jump from Favre to Rodgers, they'd be getting the same treatment. Thanks Hunt!

And Hunt's prolly in Fiji balls deep in some hottie who will do those things wifey won't by now, so, as usual, he doesn't even remember last night at this point so we can't count on him to help by causing a stink. He'll answer with the time-honored Hunt tradition of drafting a center or waterboy.

Hunt needs to hold a presser and vomit all over Rodger and his bitch ass ref's.

You cant let the NFL make a bitch ass call on us on our home field and not say anything or we get the loser bitch label and they think they can punk you forever. Cant have an NFL where playoff games are decided like that cheap ass call.

If you make that holding call there, which helped decide the outcome of a game, you have to stop playing big boy football cause its done on every freaking pass play for all teams every stinking Sunday! Just tape a game and slow mo the pass pro and you can find a someone making the same move or worse.

Anyone in this freaking zone who is saying it was the correct call needs to be banned forever or tell me why its not called on every other pass play. You can't so go away.

Are you new? That's exactly what the Hunts are, and do. The Hunts make ~$90M from the NFL for not being dead each year, so he's ~$90M less concerned than the rest of us.

EDIT: Minimally the NFL and their machine will deflect by telling "us" that it's our fault for having a team that didn't have an offense that played the middle 45 minutes! Which might be amount to an interesting observation, but not relevant to that call.

The Steelers were holding on the last 3rd down conversion to get the 1st down and run the clock out. Didn't get called.

If Pitt was going for the 2pt conversion and that same play happened, you know damn well they aren't going to be flagged. Bullshit.
