Still trying to figure out what available QB is out there on the free market that accomplishes anything. Romo = Old and frail, Cuttler = similar age to Alex, different kind of suck, and frail. If anything, the best option is to go with Foles, which is full of risk, but at least you are getting a guy who is already here, knows the offense, has shown some dynamic stuff in the past.

This is why I'm one of the few guys that believe we shouldn't just cut him.

Oh, I'd rather have Alex a MILLION times over Cutler, although last time they matched up head to head, Cutler beat Alex. We're going to have one more year of Alex for sure, then if they follow their pattern, we'll be starting Kaepernick.

I'm all for drafting one. It just can't be in rounds 4, 5, or 6

This is KC's perpetual position/situation. Every time we figure out, again, that the latest used-car-lot QB wasn't a franchise QB in hiding, we're stuck with no obvious HoF QB waiting for us to pick them in the 6th round and our used car lot QB raking-in tons-o-coin. Then team isn't willing to obviously throw a season (to keep fan rumbling to a minimum as they see what's going on, and why) to make sure they're in position to pick the most apparent future franchise QB in the draft. It's a time-honored Chiefs tradition that results in 1/15/2017 being just the latest John to leave a load in our asses.

While drafting the next great QB is always a gamble - think about Brady's path the dominance - it's not like the Chiefs will ever learn. All we can count on is the next Fisher being so awesome that Alex will become Brady.

I've been on the Foles bandwagon for a while, theres no selling me on the whole "he sucks, it'd be even worse than Smith" line... draft a QB in one of the first two rounds and start Foles in 2017
