As a ref, how can you possibly make that call??

Besides all the bullshit, How, as a ref, can you make that call in a playoff game. Team is trailing by 2, going for a 2pnt conversion, and you call a holding call, something both teams have been doing all game.. if youve been calling them all game, sure call it, but you werent, and havent been. How could you not see the hold did not affect the outcome of the play? By the time the "hold" even occured which was more of harrison just deciding to flail to the ground like a little bitch, the ball was WELL out of smiths hands and going to the endzone at the point of this "hold"... So again, as a ref, how can you not look at the hold, then look at Smith and see the hold wouldve not affected the outcome of the play? Its BULL SHIT to make that call in a situation like that... And btw, this is the same crew working the superbowl.

Ansah, easily. If I recall correctly, the defensive line was considered a huge question mark for the Chiefs going into that draft, so Ansah wouldn't have been seen as a reach. Now, Poe ended up taking a huge step forward in 2013 and the D-line played better than expected, but that couldn't have been foreseen on draft day.

Wave a thumb drive in their face (empty or otherwise), and dare them to up the game of chicken.

But again, they'll just tell him to take a seat, have a nacho, look around, think about it, and consider what he's doing... He'll tell them, "you had me at nacho."

You're looking at the play in a bubble though. Most here aren't arguing whether it was a hold or not; they're arguing why you call that one a hold and completely ignore all the other similar plays in the game.

If you're a ref, and you've established that you're going to let the game go a certain way, then you better damn well be consistent in it. If you're going to let players hold each other all game, then don't change your damn mind with three minutes to go on a two-point conversion that's basically the most important play of the game.

Houston and Hali had combined for 19 sacks the season before when the Chiefs finished 2-14. Pass rush was the least of their worries after running back.

Even if you consider Ansah to be better (and I don't), that's a 1 in 9 chance of making a better pick. Fisher has ended up as the best top-prospect pick available in that draft, pure and simple. It's unfortunate that there was no franchise quarterback available, but there wasn't.

Well there was the Smoltz and Glavin "black of the plate" (the six inches under the dirt), and what the rest of the league got.

I know, I know, wrong sport...

Its not, and Travis is suggesting that he should have a ban from wearing zebra stripes, including Footlocker. And Travis has a point.

The bigger question is, How is what the Steelers are doing on those running plays even legal? I mean did I miss a rule change that came through? Can interior O-lineman really grab the defender on the shoulders and just hold them there? Cause that's exactly what was happening the whole game. Yet our guys seemed cool w it, so maybe I'm not understanding the rules. Please someone smarter than me educate me.

It's time to let it go. Ruminating over it does nothing. The NFL doesn't care, the media doesn't care. The money machine that is the NFL will sweep this under the rug like the other incidents that we feel have screwed us fans out of our championship.

If the Chiefs win the game last night, do you really think that the NFL will let the quarterback they wrote new rules for actually lose to an Alex Smith led team?

It's like Climate Change, follow the money and you will find the truth.

Why let it go? How does that lead to change? Or are you suggesting we'll never win a SB and just need to resign ourselves to this and never resist?

It's a football game, an entertainment event. No one cares about our hurt feelings.

It's meaningless and really doesn't, IMO, deserve any more time.

Our team lost and looked really bad doing it. Yes, our team had a chance at the end and didn't get it done.

Dallas last year got robbed on 'the non-catch'. Green Bay got robbed on 'the catch' in the end zone. It happens. Get over it. The NFL doesn't care.

What do you want them to do? Tell the Squealers that they made the wrong call and need to replay the last 3 minutes of the game?
