At some point I'm going to do a study of the coverage and shows on NFL Network. I can understand spending more time covering the teams that have won more, so that wouldn't be my thesis question. My hypothesis is that they cover some teams disproportionately to their record.

For example, they had a nice series a while back that was their lists of the top ten Cowboy, top ten Raiders, etc. I thought it would be nice to see the top ten on each team in their opinion. But they only did it for a handful of teams and then stopped. Looking at the list, they covered the Cowboys, Raiders, Steelers, Packers, 49ers, and Giants. Oh, and Patriots. I missed that one in my scan.

They've done 129 episodes of "Top Ten", and in that time they've covered six teams. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NFL_Top_10 Seriously? You've done a list of the top ten players named Steve and the top ten draft-day moments and the top ten things you loved about Tim Tebow, and you haven't thought to do the top ten players for 25 of the league's 32 teams? Really?

Not to mention, when they did the Top 10 TE's, they had Tony G listed somewhere around 6 or 7, I believe.

The one critical flaw in your line of thought...is you project your own morality on a group of tight-knit billionaire businessmen. They painstakingly vet potential owners...why? They dont want someone rocking the cash-cow. You are actually arrogant/narcissistic enough to believe they think like you...they dont...at all. You are the demographic they target...they profit of your naivety/trust.

Owners are merely one of 32 tentacle arms..that connect to a mother-hub profit center. The ones that appear to care...is simply because it's their hobby and offers a bit of limelight. Hunt wasn't heart-broken over making a quarter of a billion dollars this year.

NFL has eroded into fodder for the plebeians...just like in ancient Rome. It gave the disgruntled an avenue/outlet for their hostility.... redirected from being exploited by their government. It's the modern-day coliseum...a satiation/diversion for the masses.

It was a BS call. I remembered a non call hold on ford, iirc, when bell was sweeping to him just a bit earlier in the game. They call that hold, I'm ok with calling the EF hold. If one is, they both are.

The refs are only human, they can't see everything. Sometimes they "let them play." Bla bla bla...

Edit: Perhaps Harrison "got the call" because he lobbied it? We may never know why, the NFL would never be forthcoming about hoe they choose their selectivity. However, if our D is the least bit pissed about it, starting week-1 of next year every hold they think was missed should result in a Brady-like rant to the official. Do it 15-20 per game, make a scene that the tv cameras won't miss, and they might drive a conversation the 32 tentacles weren't counting on. Perhaps they can end each rant with holding up their fingers in Fisher's jersey number, just so they get the point. And you can't do it just once, you have to so it enough to drive-home the point and drive the conversation. And if they start ****ing the team for it, we'll, that's the same as it ever was, now there's just a new reason.
