I don't buy it.... if you watch a team pull wins out of their ass time and time again, there's no reason at all to practically assume the game is over whenever they give up a few runs..... especially if they're not even losing.

There's frustration and there are emotional posts... no one cares. Then there's the constant stream of negativity every time the smallest amount of adversity is introduced. And keep in mind, this isn't the Chiefs and each game is literally 10 times less important than an NFL game in a highly random sport where the best teams barely win 60% of their games.

I dunno, they've provided better entertainment in the past 3 years than the Chiefs have in 30... I sit back and enjoy almost every game with zero stress, it's just weird that some come off as exactly the opposite.

I agree with all of this.

There's so much negatively when they get behind. Or they have a bad few games. It's more than just 1-2 posters as well.

I thought for a little while it might be stupid reverse mojo, but then people were actually saying shit like "I'm done" in both playoff runs. And it could be a defensive mechanism as mr. tegu says, but only to an extent... even if you're a little too pumped up for a baseball game in the middle of July, only so much negativity prepares you for a loss... it's one thing to have low expectations and vent, but being negative for 8 innings is not better than being angry at the end.

It's like when I lived in KC, I swear traffic was worse when it was cloudy and it hadn't even started raining.... people don't even wait for the rain to ruin their day around here, and the perfect example was in the bottom of the 10th.

I don't know what to tell you. People use the lashing out negativity as a defense against the potential anger of a loss. Sometimes getting what you "expect," even if an undesirable outcome, is better than being hurt by unexpected outcomes because you are mentally prepared for it.
