What stood out to me:

- Lack of KHunt at RB.

- The absolute shitshow we have at backup OL positions. If a starter goes down for more than a week or two, we be ****ed.

- We all know who the 3 QB's are going to be, and who the starter is going to be - so why not get 15 as many snaps as possible? This is the time to get him some game experience, since he's going to be holding a clipboard on Sundays for the next year.

News from camp today is that he's working with the 2s, so I think we'll see much more from him moving forward.

I was addressing Mahomes, though I think Hunt was getting some first team reps.

I think west ran into the same problems hunt did. Backup ol run blocking is pure shit. If we get the west we saw late last year on fresh legs as our #3, I'm not worried.

Kevin Pierre-Louis blocked a punt and I hope if he can continue to do that it becomes a thing.

Although I think Eric Murray will have a better showing next time or do good for us, he whiffed and stared at a ball he could have made effort to intercept so really Eric Murray was my biggest disappoint during the game. If he continues to suck then he can suck elsewhere. For now I still have higher expectations that he can prove himself worth being on the 53 but I lost trust in him if he would be a starter.

I disagree here a bit.

Fulton's a quality backup at guard and an even better backup center. It's possible that they could lose both starting guard (like they did against the Texans in Week 2 last year), but it's unlikely.

I need to take a little closer look at tackle, although Jah Reid is absolutely horrible on the edge. He's not terrible inside at guard but he can't cut it on the edge.

Also, while certainly wouldn't be ideal to lose starting tackle, I think some of that would be minimized by playing next to a true starter in LDT or Wiztmann/Ehinger as opposed to a guy that will be out of work in a few weeks.

Plus, Andy Reid's lost plenty of starting lineman the past few seasons and has been able to scheme around those loss(es).

I'd hate to do anything to screw with LDT and the strides he's taken at guard, but the Chiefs might want to consider working him at tackle.

He has the athleticism to play there, and the backups here are just horrible.

True, he and Ehinger, who played tackle in college would be candidates, at OT. I think Mitch Morse would get a shot, too.

But with that said, I don't have high hopes for Ehinger's availability this season due to the late November 2016 ACL surgery.

If he's available though, his presence makes the offensive line depth that much better.

That is an interesting thought.

One thing I have to keep in perspective is that, though the backup o-line looked abysmal, cohesion is essential. One person could've look dreadful, but you place them between two higher-tier players, and their weaknesses aren't as obvious, if that makes sense.
