All it boils down to is personal responsibility. At this point, he has shown that he doesnt understand that. When he learns how to be a man, and take personal responsibility for his actions, his effort, and his play, then he can be the best in the league.

EVERYONE is hoping this benching knocks some sense into him and he comes back to the team ready to participate and give full effort. His play will follow, and so will fan sentiments, period.

If he gives 100% on the field, he will be accepted, if he can't, then he won't be. Pretty simple.

Yes, and the coaching staff and the fans have made that very clear. The question is if the fans are happy that they broke a good player, or do we take some accountability for not acting like dicks to a perfectly good player. I am with you on the latter part that I hope he grows up, and if he doesn't, ship him off. But the last sentence is bullshit. There are lots of people who hate him for reasons completely external to his play. Even if he becomes a shutdown corner he'll always have a target on his back. He sure did earlier in the season when his play or temper wasn't at all an issue.

just stop, you've moved from personal speculation to judge and jury.

you overthink things way too much.

I have to say just looking at the last couple pages he really really out did himself on this one.

Zilla must have had his lunch stolen every day as a kid, and probably still does.

I agree. He's a professional who's supposed to be out there doing his job. If someone at my work was behaving the same way - blowing up at people, half-assing it, arguing with peers and superiors - I'd feel the same way about them.
