How much is each NFL team Worth?

Chiefs rank #24 at 2.1 BILLION dollars. Hunts don't want to run them, I'm sure we could pool our bitcoin and buy them from the family. A bargain! WHo's with me?

I bet that turns into a bigger mess that you may think, Richardson is a front man/ minority shareholder, there are partners to contend with.

52% owned by a group of 14 limited partners.
48% of $2B is still quite sweet.

Does anyone know how operating income is calculated?

And how the hell does Dallas spend that much more than the rest of the league?

They sell 25K more tickets a game 200K seats @$100= $22M , charge more, and sell more stuff and have more corporate sponsors. The suites bring in more than $80 million a year in revenue. The cowboys do not share revenue with the league,TV, clothing, sponsorships NADA When ATT tosses their name on the building it cost money.
Quote:
The sponsorship deal was reported to be worth about $17–19 million per year
I don't think Hunt is able to name the stadium, if he could, I don't think anyone with deep pockets have come forward to put their name on it. Kauffman set a precedent.

Your a dumb ass. Chiefs have the power to sell the naming rights to Arrowhead. American Century about did it. Royals almost had US Bank on Kauffman.

Multiple gratuitous exclamatives to you also,

I said "think" because Clark Hunt would be ridiculed for ever making "Arrowhead" anything but Arrowhead. Hunt knows it, Donovan knows it, Hunt Midwest knows it too. Whoever may cough up enough money to get them to do so, knows that a $25M+ renaming deal will still have the stadium referred to as Arrowhead and never as Garmin Field at Arrowhead or Garmin Stadium. It will always been and probably will be Arrowhead.

The Chiefs also know that unless you are an iconic KC business, and even then, it will be a gutsy call to commit $25M+ dollars to putting your name on KC institutions. KU knew that and opted for the practice facility.
Just like you will never get Kaufman's name off of the old Royal's Stadium.
I think when it was named after Ewing Kauffman, (Murial too), that it's something you take their recognition away from by putting a corporate name and logo next to theirs. Plus Jackson County has to approve and share the revenue.

Arrowhead will always be Arrowhead and Kaufman will always be Kaufman and if Hunt or Glass have big enough balls and can find someone with $25M+ who want's the ill-will towards their company, with very little name recognition by attaching to or from removing them: I wish them good luck.

Either one will be seen by KC fans as a deal with the devil. If they build a baseball stadium downtown, naming rights will certainly be a topic for discussion and probably retained by the stadium authority not the lessee but personally, we can't build an airport, we are not getting a downtown stadium anytime soon. If you want to name something how about "Big Bob's Used Carpet International Airport"?

Like I said: I don't think that Hunt is "able" to rename Arrowhead Stadium. It was an opinion and I'm sticking to it.

Go back in your hole and fight with the rat for the warm spot to sleep.

Question is, who would buy a team for 2.1B with a nut of $305M and returns of $60M knowing that values, revenues and profits are going down.

If someone were to throw a $2B bone to the the Hunts would they take it? Capital gains did not change but reinvesting the money could avoid that.
Because an owner can do Jack shit and make a killing off of guaranteed, shared TV revenue. Revenue sharing may create parity, but it also creates no accountability. Owner can fail miserably but profit handsomely off of the leagues overall success. The more interesting bubble to watch is 2022 when the TV contract expires. I doubt the current TV players will pony up that kind of guaranteed cash. It's one of the things I hate about revenue sharing. If you can't make money, get out and sell it to someone who can. Wonder how many of these owners would do if they didn't have the cushion of other teams' shared TV revenue.

To clarify, the Cowboys, just like every other NFL team, share 40% of ticket revenues for each game.

What? Profits are not "going down".

Amazon paid $50 million to broadcast just a few Thursday Night games on Amazon Prime, something that didn't happen last year, and Verizon just signed a 5 year, $2.5 Billion dollar deal to broadcast all games for their subscribers.

Revenues continue to climb, each and every year.

As usual, you're dead wrong.

There is no single episode of any broadcast TV series that can generate 26 million viewers, as the NFL can for ONE GAME, each week.

Nielsen ratings may be on the decline but that doesn't mean that the NFL's overall reach, including streaming and mobile services, is declining.

Just because it hasn't made financial sense for the Chiefs to sell naming rights today doesn't mean it won't happen tomorrow.

Directv is not going to give that huge of a guaranteed contract knowing their number of subscribers will be down. I didn't say TV revenue will go down. But it won't be one company guaranteeing the contract. As you said, it will probably be a mix of media types. I hope, at least.
